Kate is a USC commit and played a great match in front of her sister, Pepperdine’s Grace Jackson, who cheered the loudest in the Santa Margarita section. She leads Santa Margarita with 30 aces this season, per MaxPreps.

Kate did the work on the court last night. Offensively she was the go-to hitter and in the back row she delivered her deadly top spin jump serve. She plays with passion for the game. Before the match, Kate said Santa Margarita wanted to “compete for every point” and bring the same energy it has had all season. Her performance did just that.

“Beating Mater Dei earlier this season taught us how important it is to stay calm, trust our training, and compete for every point because we know how quickly a match can change. Going into tonight, we know it’ll be a completely new match and we’re not taking anything for granted. We’re going to stay focused on our side of the net and bring the same energy and competitiveness we’ve had all season!! I’m really excited to compete again and see what we can do!”
