Austin Kingsley | Prep Dig Scout
Liekhus has become an indispensable part of VCNebraska 16 Elite’s stacked frontcourt crew. Her quick footwork and tireless transition effort make her a constant scoring threat in front of the setter. Defensive contributions have also escalated, as Liekhus consistently generates positive block touches to help 16 Elite get ahead in rallies. Middle blocker depth will be on full display when VCNebraska takes the whole band to Indianapolis.

Liekhus has been a standout at various venues, and she still has more time for development. She is a prior Freshman Showcase top performer who has taken her multi-position onslaught to North Bend Central and VCNebraska . Liekhus led the Tigers in hitting efficiency and will remain terminal no matter which position she plays for VCN. We can’t wait to see which role takes precedence.

Another athletic middle blocker joins the crew. Liekhus’ breakout 15s campaign at VCNebraska was the perfect precursor to another breakout performance at the Stock Up Showcase. This wasn’t Liekhus’ first appearance on the Prep Dig Circuit, so we got to see her exceptional development since her last visit. Liekhus can handle any tempo along the net and even has ample experience on the right side.

I’ll be traveling from Lincoln to La Vista for this showcase doubleheader, so I’m eager to see the Lincoln-area club athletes at Saturday’s event. Liekhus delivered several late-season highlights for VCNebraska 15 Black and is a classic middle-opposite change-up attacker. She is also a past participant on the Prep Dig Circuit, so Liekhus has set a high bar for her next stop.

VCNebraska 15 Black is climbing the divisional hierarchy. We saw this team roll through NLQ’s early rounds in the 15 Liberty division, culminating in a Gold bracket appearance. The team will now move up to 15 USA for Show Me, and Liekhus will be ready for the spotlight. This North Bend Central freshman is an effective terminator in front of the setter and has expanded her range on the slide. 15 Black’s exceptional 2025 campaign will keep under-the-radar athletes like Liekhus in the conversation before our next watch list update.

VCNebraska pulls in a standout freshman from North Bend Central to bolster its 15 Black lineup. Liekhus was a key contributor to last year’s 14s team and brought infectious on-court energy throughout the year. She is the prototypical ‘M2’ who is equally effective as an attacker and a blocker. Her quickness off the floor allows Liekhus to work past opposing blocks and give defenders little time to react. 2025 could be a breakout year for Liekhus as her team looks to cash in on its bid aspirations.
