Here’s another one of my vastly underrated, ranked too low setters. Kamilla has game, she’s got good quiet hands, she sets all three spots well, shows good chemistry with their star OH Lacey Bogues Lacey Bogues 5'8" | OH/RS Potomac Falls | 2027 State VA , who can be tricky to set because she’s about the same height as her, and she’s got explosive vertical that lets her excel hitting, the difference in that is that there’s a different speed that she arrives to the ball vs a hitter that is 6’2 and may glide a little more, the athletic, explosive pins get there so fast that as a setter you’ve got to have some finesse to find that sweet spot she needs it in. Kamilla has shown that plenty the couple times I’ve watched her play this season. Like most of my underrated players on this list, she should be ranked much higher.

Kamilla (pictured above) played up a year the first time she played for a 13 team I coached. Although she set the previous year the team needed outsides. The setters for that team were Annabelle Kim Annabelle Kim 5'7" | S Heritage | 2027 State VA (top performer last year and setter for Heritage), and Clara Jolly Clara Jolly 5'5" | S Loudoun County | 2025 VA (setter for Loudoun Country). The fact she hit outside is a testament to her athleticism.

Now, she is getting her opportunity to set, and it appears to be going well. Her hands have always been good. It was the consistency of location that needed some work. In that area she has improved. She set for Loudoun Elite in the Patriot Division in Junior Nationals at Las Vegas this past season. Tons of promise in her game and a player to watch.
