About Kendyl

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am an extremely competitive volleyball player with an unwavering drive to win. My passion for the game fuels my explosive energy on the court, where I over-communicate to ensure team cohesion and success. I am a natural leader who lifts up my teammates with encouragement, enthusiasm, and positivity. Always smiling and high-fiving, I bring an infectious energy to every match, making the game not

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am an extremely social and outgoing person who connects easily with others, building diverse friendships across my school, nearby areas, and even other states. I thrive on fun and competition. I am not jealous or envious, and I consistently demonstrate strong leadership qualities, inspiring and uniting those around me with positivity and understanding.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Playing up in age throughout many club seasons has challenged me to lead by example and prioritize building strong relationships with my teammates. As a sophomore on the varsity team, being nominated as a captain by my teammates demonstrated their trust in me as a leader. This experience has solidified my commitment to fostering teamwork, leadership, and striving to inspire those around me.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Oct. and Nov. 2024 were deeply challenging when two of my school teammates faced the heartbreaking loss of a parent. This experience taught me invaluable lessons about friendship, empathy, and faith. I learned to cherish each day, embrace loved ones more often, and find strength in the Lord. Life is precious, and I now approach each day as a gift to be treasured.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am seeking a university with a winning and highly competitive schedule, supported by a coaching staff that embodies longevity, motivation, and a positive team culture. Ideally, I would like to stay in the Midwest or South, where I can thrive both on and off the court while contributing to a successful program.
