Missing was right side Kiera Jordan Kiera Jordan 6'1" | RS/OH Bishop O'Connell | 2029 State VA . However, ignore her on the right side in your blocking assignments and your setter will be dodging missles in the back row. In the match against Colgan she led the team with 19 kills.

Kiera has great mobility with her movements. On many occasion she was able to sneak into the middle with Carolyn Maria Carolyn Maria 6'1" | S/RS Bishop O'Connell | 2029 State VA finding her for the kill. The two were club teammates for Metro 15 so good communication exists there. Kiera can hit both right and left side. At 6’1 she brings good height for the pins stringing together 9 blocks for the tournament and rejecting a number of other spikes from the opponents left side hitter. Her passing needs to gain more consistency to play a six rotation left side. She brings a strong serve that takes a downward trajectory as it crosses the net. A solid player you want on the court.

Last year Kiera won the Player of the Year award in the National District for Annandale. The Atoms finished second in the National District. The National District may be one of the weakest Districts in Northern Virginia. In the Regional Playoffs Annadale was swept by Alexandria City. Kiera was the offensive punch for the Atoms. Not a lot of recognition followed.

This season she will transfer to Bishop O’Connell. The Knights are loaded with pins this coming year. Kiera will stand out as part of that load. While she may not lead the team in Kills or win the MVP in the WCAC she will test her skills against some of the best players in the DMV area. She will also join her Metro 15 teammates Carolyn Maria Carolyn Maria 6'1" | S/RS Bishop O'Connell | 2029 State VA , Charlotte Nelson Charlotte Nelson 5'7" | DS/L Bishop O'Connell | 2028 State VA and Claire Kennedy Claire Kennedy DS/L Bishop O'Connell | 2029 State VA in a quest to win both the WCAC title and the VISAA state championship.

It is not unusual for a frosh to earn a spot on the first team for her District. However, getting selected as the MVP is rare. Kiera stood out as the offensive presence for her Annandale high school team that finished second in their division. She clearly stood out as the most dominate player in their District.

It appears she has grown a couple inches since last year to reach 6’1. Her approach jump hits 9’10”. For Annandale she hit mostly left side. For Metro she bangs the ball from the right side. Either side she strikes the ball with the kind of velocity you expect from an MVP.

Kierra bumped up two spots in our 2029 rankings, from #10 to #8. Her Metro team will play in the Open in Junior Nationals.
