Lainey Scheper is the type of young middle that instantly makes coaches stop and pay attention. Standing 6’0” already in the class of 2030, she brings a ceiling that is hard to ignore, but what makes her dangerous is that she is already developing the technical side of the position far ahead of her age group. Lainey moves extremely well laterally, closes blocks with purpose, and shows natural timing reading hitters before pressing over the net. Offensively, her contact point is already elite for her age, and when she attacks in rhythm, the ball jumps off her arm. There is still so much room for physical growth, which is exactly what makes her one of the most intriguing players entering RTDP. She has the tools, the size, and the early volleyball instincts that point toward becoming a high-level front-row force over the next few years.
