Schmidt impressed on the court for a number of reasons. She has the height, athleticism, and reach that immediately grab your attention but it is her overall game that makes her stand out. She has an aggressive swing and has the ability to attack from anywhere on the court including taking swings out of the middle. She moves well, has quick feet, and has a solid pass and defensive game. The best part about Schmidt is that she is only going to be a freshman which means her best volleyball is still ahead of her.

Elise Schmidt Elise Schmidt 6'0" | OH/RS Blake | 2030 MN has been one of the more intriguing players to track from a developmental standpoint. She shows a natural feel for the game, especially in how she approaches offensive opportunities. Her timing is improving, and she’s starting to find better contact points, which has led to more effective swings.

What separates Elise is her composure. She doesn’t rush, and she plays within herself, which allows her to make smart decisions. As she continues to build strength and confidence in her attacking, she has the ability to expand her offensive range.
