About Maddie

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I play with high energy and consistency, focusing on smart decisions and doing the little things that help my team succeed. I stay composed under pressure and bring a competitive, team first style every game.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I’m coachable, disciplined, and always looking to improve. I bring a calm, focused mindset and stay steady in intense moments, always putting the team’s needs first.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I run my own photography business (@mmadsmedia on IG), where I take pictures of kids playing volleyball to capture their joy and support their growth in the sport. I also volunteer at an animal shelter to take pictures of animals to help them get adopted. Academically, I’m a member of the National Honor Society and take four AP/Honors classes.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Through sports, school, and volunteering, I’ve built strong leadership, communication, and teamwork skills. Running my photography business has helped me develop responsibility, time management, and professionalism, and my community service has taught me empathy and consistency.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I’ve faced challenges that pushed me to stay confident and keep growing, on and off the court. Learning to balance academics, athletics, and my business taught me resilience, adaptability, and how to stay focused even during tough stretches.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m looking for a competitive program with strong academics, a supportive team culture, and coaches who will help me keep developing as both an athlete and a person.

Maddie felt great about how she ran the offense this weekend. She kept her hitters in rhythm, adjusted tempos based on the front row, and stayed vocal to keep rallies organized. When she was opposite, she took aggressive swings in transition to help her team maintain pressure. She also felt confident in her defensive reads and her ability to stay steady when rallies got chaotic.

“I want to reset faster, stay composed in pressure situations, and trust my decisions.”

Maddie is focused on consistency in her mindset as sets get tight and competition intensifies. Off the court she balances school, club, and workouts while also running a photography business and helping younger athletes at clinics. She values both leadership and growth in every area of her life.
