Petit (pictured) has a quick arm swing, a smooth four-step approach, extension and finish from the opposite side. She always goes up with a purpose, attacking seams and holes in double blocks with great precision. Pettit comes in hard off fakes and pounds balls to open spots on the court. Pettit is not afraid to angle balls off blocks and takes quality out of system swings. Pettit forms nice double blocks and is not afraid to dive after balls to keep plays alive.

Petit brings an added dimension with her 9-11 vertical touch and lefty swing. She smacks balls hard down lines with her outstanding four-step approach, extension and finish. Pettit has shown she can terminate balls from the pins and middle with a sharp downward trajectory. She attacks windows in double blocks and makes it hard for even good defensive specialists to dig her up. Pettit is also not afraid to tip balls over double blocks. Pettit shifts her body and goes aggressively after balls on block attempts. Pettit is also a sound passer.
