Here’s a familiar name from the club campaign. Petermann’s KC Power 15-2 team drew plenty of buzz this spring, especially after blitzing through national competition at Kansas City’s Show Me Qualifier. That KC-area preeminence has persisted with Olathe North, where Petermann has eclipsed triple-digit kills with the Eagles. Petermann works hard to make herself an available transition target, and that effort has paid off. Even after her quality club reps in the middle, Petermann is staking her claim as a high-impact opposite at Olathe North.

Petermann is the kind of prototypical middle-opposite hybrid who can take over matches with her physicality. Her freshman tenure with Olathe North allowed her to oscillate from one role to the other depending on the rotation. All the high-level reps of Kansas’ prep circuit prepared Petermann for her club journey with KC Power 15-2, a top contender in the Heart of America Region. Petermann’s presence in the middle was particularly powerful, leading KC Power to a runner-up finish in Show Me’s 15 USA division. Expect this rising star to post even bigger numbers as a sophomore, regardless of which side of the setter she finds herself.
