Rio was one of the main scorers of her H Skyline 17 White team. The right side hitter was extremely effective when in system and her length and firepower were often too much for opposing blockers and defenders who tried to stop her. Rio also displayed a high volleyball IQ, scoring off of tips when sets weren’t as accurate or too tight. Her blocking was also a factor as she used her long arms very well to take up space at the net.

She used her physical tools well and, besides having excellent reach and length, also displayed impressive firepower, especially in system. Rio was also smart enough to turn to tips and roll shots when the situation called for it. She also had a strong blocking presence, often standing in the way of opposing pin hitters.
