About Tiani

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

My gameplay style is aggressive and quick. My coach called me a "ball digging machine" when awarding me MVP. My beach background makes me scrappy hustling to make defensive plays and keep the ball alive, and also to help guide the court. I consistently score with my serves even in pressure points. I'm a positive team leader/teammate, always eager to learn and grow, and I always work to win.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I’m positive, hardworking, and kind. My mentality has really grown this year, and I know I can be counted on in pressure situations, especially when serving at key times or game point. I always try to lift up my teammates and stay focused on the next point and winning. I’m also a positive, happy, and welcoming person, friends with everyone on our team, on and off the court.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am in Model UN and I do charity work with the Friendship Foundation and Dig For Kids. This year, I helped start a Beach for Maui program working with the kids on Molokai for the kids in Lahaina after the fires on Maui.
