The 15 National division will be fierce. North Country Region will be represented by MN Select 15-1s and Northern Lights 15-1s while the Badger Region will be sending Milwaukee Sting 15 Gold and Milwaukee Sting 15 Black. Here are some players you will want to watch if you are looking for athleticism, power, and a solid game IQ.
Christianson is just one of those total package players. She has the height, the athleticism, and the hands. I’ve seen her play middle, right side, set, front row, and back row. She’s a high-end recruit that will likely get a lot of attention in a year. But until then, enjoy watching her growth in the game of volleyball. I’ve already seen a great deal of improvement since her high school season.

Surges exudes confidence and her teammates feed off of that. She has a natural swagger about her and a smooth style that makes really tough plays look effortless and easy. I love when players have such a good read on the game that they make big plays look simple.

I am excited to finally see Chlebecek in action in person! I missed her last fall because she was under the weather for the Eagle Invitational and then I didn’t see her at the Prep Dig Gauntlet over Memorial Day weekend. Chlebecek is such a gamechanger for this group and I can’t wait!

Sivak exploded onto our radar this past fall when she stepped up in a really big way for Oconomowoc in the Division 1 State Championship match. I’d love to see that clutch swing of hers in action again, full force next week at the McCormick Convention Center. When she is on fire, she is unstoppable.
Swenson plays with a big presence at the net and her height helpfs her cover a lot of ground quickly to pursue the second contact. She takes a lot of floor area defensively and shuts down the oppsoing attackers with her block. Swenson is an exciting prospect to keep an eye on during the next couple years.
Kohnen is about 5’8 but she knows how to play so much bigger. She is driven and can move the ball around with a quick tempo to either pin. Kohnen does a great job bettering the ball and using her awareness of the court and who’s on it. She can set against the flow, call her own number, and find the hot hitter with ease.
I always have fun watching Burley because she is fearless and crafty in her style of play. At 5’8 she doesn’t hesitate to take on a much bigger block as an outside attacker if needed. She elevates and knows just when to use a shot vs power deep into the opponents court. Burley can lead as a defender and carry a big load for her squad. She has such a smart style of play and you can see her constantly strategizing with her teammates. Burley will be a great find for any collegiate program.

Bruns has been a key piece to Sting 15 Black’s success this season. Her first contact has been consistent and her fluid movement on defense and serve receive has been poetry. Bruns covers her hitters, has a sound platform and technique, and could possibly fly under the radar a bit. She certainly deserves attention as a gritty defender and a tough passer to challenge.
