Big Swings Headline Minnesota Stock Up Showcase

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Big swings headlined the Minnesota Stock Up Showcase in Bloomington on Saturday. There was an abundance of talent on the pins and out of the middle A few defensive specialists and setters also had some big swings during some Queens of the Court drills. It definitely made me double check my prospect breakdown roster! Here is a look at some of the big hitters from the showcase that stood out:</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Class of ‘26 [player_tooltip player_id='401559' first='Marisa' last='Michaelis'], a 5'10” right-side hitter out of New Life Academy and plays club for Mizuno M1. The lefty had a big explosive swing. She also hits high hands well. When she plays outside for a rotation she also does a great job of adjusting as a lefty and is smart about her hits and shots. On the right side, she transitions so well and gives herself plenty of room to find her blockers and find a seam. She has a high ceiling,  look for her to have a breakout sophomore year!</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Class of ‘26 5'10” outside [player_tooltip player_id='199398' first='Dylan' last='Raveling'] out of Prior Lake High School and plays club for Northern Lights 15-2's team was so effective across the net. She could hit on the pin, middle or run the slide with ease. During serve receive she also passed very efficiently. Raveling is the complete package and is a true six-rotation player. To add to her athleticism, she hustles, communicates and was a great teammate during the showcase. Raveling also has a great diving float serve that is difficult to handle. Keep her on your radar as she continues to elevate her stock!</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Class of ‘25 5'10” outside [player_tooltip player_id='197164' first='Olivia' last='Moore'] out of [program_tooltip program_id='432165' first='[program_tooltip program_id='432082' first='[program_tooltip program_id='430384' first='Eagan' last='']' last='']' last=''] High School and plays club for Northern LIghts. Olivia can jump out of the gym! She is so explosive and can hit the seam quick before the block gets there. Moore also has the ability to jump and hit the ball over the block, she jumps that well. Her energy and enthusiasm show her volleyball passion. Olivia also sets up the block well on the pins and with her amazing jumping ability can stuff block a lot of hitters. Her athleticism is definitely a huge asset to this outside! Take note!&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Class of ‘26 5'9” outside Jada Mitchell out of New Life Academy and plays club for M1. Mitchell does an excellent job of transitioning to give herself plenty of room to find the ball. She has a quick arm swing and can swing down the line, cross court or hit high hands. Only a sophomore, as she gets stronger, look for her to be a force on the pin! Take note!&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Class of ‘25 5'10” outside hitter Harmonee Wenger out of Kickapoo High School in Wisconsin and plays club for Elevate VBC 16U Black. Wenger has a big swing and is really a dynamic hitter. She also has a quick jump float that is hard to pass. Her ball control is really good both on serve receive and defensively. Look for her to be an effective six-rotation player as well! </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Class of ‘25 Maddy Range a 6'0” outside hitter from River Falls High School in Wisconsin and plays club for Kokoro Volleyball, has a big, strong swing and can really get on top of the ball. She racked up 145 kills and 36 ace serves in her sophomore campaign for the Wildcats. Her explosiveness and ball control during the 3 versus 3 Queens games made her stand out right away. She also had a great command and confidence about her. Keep her on your radar as a six-rotation player! </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>That was just a quick glimpse of some of the big hitters that stood out early Saturday at the Stock Up Showcase! A good crop of six rotation players to add to the mix as well. I was really impressed by their overall ball control as well.
