Players emerge with increased playing time, skill, strength, and sometimes height- the best of the best can get the most out of themselves and the team. In this second 2026 ranking for Washington, two players move into the top 5, and we make sure to recognize our top setter who is ranked at #6 overall.
Coleman was playing multiple positions for Lakeside in the early part of the season, forced to carry a major load after the Lions lost a tremendous 2023 class. She settled back into her familiar spot in the middle and showed the dynamic arm and athleticism that lands her in the top 5 for this update. That versatility will do nothing but help her game overall, playing with Sudden Impact this club season she should be comfortable if called upon to take a critical swing from the pin or the middle. Coleman has great press on the block, touching 10 feet allows her to stuff block swings straight down for points.

Thompson is a whippy outside hitter with a huge array of shots in her bag, and an excellent overall six-rotation game. Camas counted on her all season long to take big swings and she consistently delivered kills and defensive plays. She takes excellent swings flying out of the back row and can curl in hard topspin swings to the deep corners or soft tips to the open court. Thompson will be with Athena 17 for the club season and should be high on college coaches’ radar with her exciting play.

Nguyen is a sophomore libero from Bellevue High School, and she will play with Sudden Impact VBC during the 2024 club campaign. The 5’3 defender is an ace on the beach as well as the court, having spent time in the USAV National Team Development Program (NTDP) in both. Her ability to read and ultimately dig attacks accurately to her setter is what sets her apart. Plenty of defenders have the physical tools to run down tips and get to the right spot on the court, Nguyen does that and then drops dimes to her setters with great tempo to generate scoring chances in transition. She is the top libero in the rankings and the #3 player overall.
Morales missed some time during the Curtis Vikings season, but was a strong factor at the end as the team battled it out with the best in Washington at the State 4A Tournament. Her explosiveness and length on the pin are the difference makers for her as a prospect, she has a chance to add to her overall game with SIVBC during the 2024 club season. Morales was hammering the ball in the last portion of the 2023 club campaign, and showed that same power and energy with Curtis at state.

Eichert was a force for Lake Stevens and enhanced her #1 ranking after leading the Vikings into the state semifinals. She continued to develop her game from the pipe, and teams rarely had an answer for her power as an attacker. The 1st team All-State selection works hard on defense and is tough to pick on in serve receive, Eichert thrived in pass to hit situations throughout the season. She will play up with the WVBA 18 Adidas team during club.

TOP SETTER: #6 Overall
Humphrey moved up into the #6 overall spot in the rankings, showing off a dynamic ability to locate the ball pin to pin and rack up kills from the rights side as an attacker. Her athleticism and length at 5’10 give her an edge as a blocker in either a 5-1 offense or as a right side, and she plays defense first before she runs the offense from the setter spot. Humphrey is a player to watch breaking into the top 5 of the rankings moving forward, as she also did one of the most important jobs of a setter- winning. Her North Thurston team racked up win after win on their way to a 3A state semifinal game, and coaches cited her leadership as a major part of the overall season success.
