On the eve of the 2024 season, we're giving a nod to the seniors.

Nebraska's Class of 2025 has given us a lot over the past few years. We've seen dramatic matches, championship triumphs, and incredible individual growth. This year's fall season marks the swan song campaign for these seniors, and title aspirations will be stronger than ever.

So, let's give you an elite list of seniors who should be hunting for a walk-off championship.

After last year's Class C1 title, we can officially say that Kamery has done it all. She's a dynamic setter-attacker who compiles head-spinning numbers in every statistical category. Kamery racked up over five kills per set last fall while also chipping in with over four assists per set in her setter role. This double-double machine has one more season left before becoming an in-state performer with Wayne State. Let's make it two in a row.

Jelinek has been tantalizingly close to the state title in every year of her Norris career. She began her prep journey as the team's starting libero before becoming one of the state's most prolific outside attackers. The Titans have the unique challenge of competing in Class B with a nine-time defending champion standing in their way. However, Jelinek's high-level experience and competitive fire could make the difference in her final fall campaign.

Solomon continues the storied tradition of setter stars at Papillion-La Vista South. Her prep career has been a story of resilience and determination. She has battled through recent injuries to guide the Titan offense and has made herself a full-time signal-caller in the 5-1. Solomon will join Jacksonville State next year, but Papio South has unfinished business after last season's tough ending.

We're building a run of setters in this feature, and Rennerfeldt has been around for a while. She immediately took the reins of Oakland-Craig's offense in 2021 and led the team to its first-ever volleyball championship. Rennerfeldt has remained a familiar face on the tournament stage ever since, and 2024 is lining up for another postseason berth. The tournament journey won't be easy, but not many Nebraska athletes are more comfortable under the bright lights.

All eyes are on the ten-peat. Anderson was a key cog in Omaha Skutt Catholic's two-setter operation last year, leading to a fruitful run on the state's biggest stage. The [program_tooltip program_id='428743' first='VCNebraska' last=''] standout spread the ball around with indefensible pace and deceptiveness. Anderson gained more valuable experience during this year's club season, so momentum is escalating for the fall. The SkyHawks know what's ahead.

Why not Platteview? The Trojans were a head-turning bunch at last year's tournament and have the pieces to make another run in 2024. That optimism starts with Plueger, a Midland commit who can score from anywhere along the net. She has churned out two consecutive seasons with three kills per set and is improving her hitting percentages, too. Plueger's takeover potential has us anxious to watch her final fall outing.

Landon has been one of the unsung heroes of Waverly's recent offensive success. The veteran middle blocker emerged as one of Nebraska's most efficient attackers last year and posted a 0.368 hitting clip. Waverly will deploy a new setter this year, but that likely won't stop Landon's progress as a frontcourt weapon. Look for the Vikings to produce a Class B upset bid with seniors like Landon leading the way.

Let's venture further into the Class C1 race. Kearney Catholic is a perennial championship contender in the central Nebraska scene, and Dzingle has helped keep the Stars near the top lately. She left her mark in 2023 with a career-high 2.4 kills per set and a 0.295 hitting percentage. We're fascinated to see how Dzingle embraces a senior leadership role after several impactful graduations from last year's Kearney Catholic squad.

Riggert's career numbers are a microcosm of how much firepower Pierce can wield. This hard-hitting middle blocker has averaged around 2.5 kills per set over the last two seasons and is hovering around the 0.300 mark in attacking efficiency. When the Bluejays are in system, scoring comes easily. Riggert will get plenty of work in her senior seasons as Pierce pursues a "redemption tour" in the state tournament.
