The Remaining Stock Up Top Performers

A total of 30 liberos attended this event. Very rare to see a pass go off target. She also possesses all the tools you look for in a libero. Hustles after every ball as well as being a good communicator who seems to always carry a positive attitude on the court. Even though she was a bit late to the event she had already notified me of that. One player who grabbed my attention early was number 91. Every time a serve came her way the pass hit the target area. Number 91 was [player_tooltip player_id='587625' first='Riley' last='Stever']. While her name was not that familiar, she did make her debut in our rankings at number 100 back in April. Her older sister Ema ranks in the top ten as an outside hitter in the class of 2025. Her sister chose a different path, playing the libero position. Another good communicator and one of the more consistent liberos you will see on the court. Last year she played defensive specialist her frosh season for Richard Montgomery when they won the Maryland Class 4 state championship. This coming year she should take over the libero role. The first time I saw Rachel play was at the showcase last year. At 5'10 she usually towers over the other liberos so it is not hard finding her in a sea of liberos. No top performer accolades for her that first year, but I did see her play at a number of tournaments. What impressed me most about her play was her hustle. Rachel is not afraid to crash into benches to retrieve a stray pass. While watching the liberos play at this showcase she flew in the air to get a stray ball and landed just a couple feet from where I was standing. Their club focuses on beach play and they all become proficient at passing and playing defense. The Stock Up show case was my first opportunity to watch Caylee play. As to be expected from a [program_tooltip program_id='494409' first='Blue' last='Ridge'] libero she displayed all the qualities of a good libero. At 5'10" she has long levers that know how to put the ball to the floor. She plays right side for Millbrook but did not appear on the varsity roster. That should change this year. She has grown a couple inches since last year. While some profiles list her as a middle, she played right side at the showcase. At this stage of her career getting the physical training to improve her quickness and her arm speed when attacking the ball are critical to her development. Last year for Colgan she played middle and right side. Her main strength is the ability to get her hands high over the net to reject spikes from the left side. Elizabeth possesses the skill sets to dominate a game. A 5'11" setter with good hands will grab your attention. She won a top performer award at last year's event and has risen to number 20 in our class of 2026 rankings. While watching the setter's group at the Stock Up Showcase there was a taller setter that looked quite a bit like Aubrey. She wore #142 which did not appear on the list. When I walked up to her it was Aubrey. She was a walk-up registrant. Once a top performer always a top performer in my book. She has transferred from Riverbend, where she set the Bears to a 27-3 record as a sophomore, their best record in school history.
