The 2028 Watchlist is officially live! After an amazing freshman season, these athletes are heading into their 15s year of club and will grow so much in the next year. I love the 15s year because there is so much growth not only in the physical game but also strategically. Here is a behind-the-scenes look at the 2028 watchlist.

Some of the names in this class are already making waves at a state level and beyond. [player_tooltip player_id='545505' first='Tegan' last='Loechler'] played a key part in DSHA's three-peat as Division 1 State Championships. She will also be training with the National Team Development Program this winter. [player_tooltip player_id='587062' first='Harper' last='Wendlick'] and [player_tooltip player_id='545512' first='Aubrey' last='Olson'] were also freshmen on that talented Dasher team. [player_tooltip player_id='726010' first='Emily' last='Conwell'], [player_tooltip player_id='545503' first='Kaitlyn' last='Marx'], and [player_tooltip player_id='587074' first='Megan' last='Olsen'] also had an impact during their freshman seasons playing at the varsity level. I could list many more names here, which will be discussed in future articles!

We are Just Getting Started

We have 86 players on this initial watchlist who we have had the opportunity to see at our events, during the high school season, or potentially at the tail end of the last club season (though we do not cover 14s). By the end of their high school careers, this list will not only be a ranking but also likely triple in size. And we will expand on it every few months. This is a living, breathing list that we are constantly updating. Once we have the opportunity to see the 15s closer during the club season, we will release our initial rank and build from there. There are numerous talented athletes who are not even on our radar yet, and we are eager to see as many athletes as possible play!

Keep an Eye on the Setters

Some of the setters in this class are already making a name for themselves with their ball control and court awareness. Some names that jump out are [player_tooltip player_id='587045' first='Aldyn' last='Visner'], [player_tooltip player_id='545533' first='Alexis' last='Babiash'], [player_tooltip player_id='585604' first='Amelia' last='Walz'], and [player_tooltip player_id='587079' first='Quinn' last='Ische']. These are all highly talented players who can dole out dimes and are playing at a high level. Setters are the quarterbacks of the offense, and these setters will be instrumental to their team's success.

How to Get on Our Radar

There are a lot of ways to get on our radar! The first is to keep playing volleyball! Get on the court with your club or school and play. You can also find us on social media. Give us a follow, send us some film, and let us know if you will be at the same tournaments we post about. We love it when athletes explode onto our radar.
