Mideast Power League 15-16U Standouts, Part 1

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The 15 and 16U teams ventured to Louisville's Kentucky Indiana Volleyball Academy to start the season and a number of players continued to impress. Outside the home state location, teams came in from Ohio, Indiana, Tennessee and Michigan.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The host KIVA club saw five teams go 3-0 on the day including the talented 16 Red squad. However, 16 Red had to go three sets twice to win those games. They dropped the first set against FaR Out Black 15, 25-20 before coming back to win the next two by 25-19 and 15-13 squads. The Elite Volleyball Training Center saw three teams go 3-0.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The KIVA 15 Red went 2-1 on the day. Rhamy and her teammates will give opponents fits with tandems. Her energy is high on every play. Her teammates constantly looked at her when the team needed a big kill. Hall does a phenomenal job adjusting to each hitter. Hall has a nice serve to the back that veers to the sides making it tougher to pick up. Hall goes hard after balls defensively and has great energy on the court. She did a lot of setting Saturday and did a nice job with it. Bosse consistently put her teammates in position to succeed with long and short sets. Knapp reacts quickly on overpassed balls to put them down. Knapp does a great job using her size to control the net. She has a sound cut shot. One kill hit the defenders arms but caromed way to her left out of bounds as the result of the power on the spike.
