With a super vertical, engaging her core, her lethal swing is hard to return. A fast approach leading to a big vertical she connects perfectly with the ball showing excellent control in her placement and trajectory. She easily adjusts herself to make plays work and is lethal from either pin with an freakish kill. She is solid in blocking and reads the opposition well moving with excellent footwork down the net with a big reach and great timing. Equally as effective on the back row digging up hard shots, getting there and passing up accurately she is reliable and puts herself out there to get the job done. She is confident, shows a good relationship with her setter and brings her magic to the court in a big way! State champion Assumption’s three kills leaders this year were sophomores and McKenzie is the third one. McKenzie takes great approaches to the net and lands balls to different zones. McKenzie has tough crosses when she hits it accurately. McKenzie has a great vertical jump allowing her to hit over and around taller blockers.

McKenzie has become a big force offensively for the Rockets this year. McKenzie was especially tough on crosses against LexCath on the go routes. She has put in her time developing those skills. McKenzie said she tries to be aggressive on her swings, trying to hit balls away from defenders.

One kill hit the defenders arms but caromed way to her left out of bounds as the result of the power on the spike. McKenzie-Price said she’s been working on becoming faster on her blocking and serving in club season.
