One of the most anticipated tournaments at the beginning of each club season is the Triple Crown NIT because of all of the talent that will be under one roof. It will be held in Kansas City, MO on February 15-17th. I will be covering this tournament in person once again and can't wait for the matchups. There are tons of players and teams to watch out for. Let's “Dig” in to find out who they are.

What TX Power Pool Teams Will Be Contending For a Championship?

Power Pool B has two Texas teams ready to prove how dangerous they are.

[program_tooltip program_id='510661' first='Houston' last='Skyline'] 16 Royal is fresh off of a superb runner up finish at the Tour of Texas Austin stop a few weeks ago. They are wanting to continue to ride that wave of awesome play against teams from all over the country. The awesome setting of [player_tooltip player_id='534332' first='Tinsley' last='Welker-Brown'] is the driving force behind their juggernaut of an offense. She uses her long frame and awesome jump setting to push the pace of each set and create splits or one on ones against blockers. She will garner a lot of attention from college coaches this weekend and for good reason. Lefty opposite [player_tooltip player_id='534319' first='Aspen' last='Brown'] is one of the go to hitters on this roster. They find her whether she is in the front row or the back row to score some points. Middle [player_tooltip player_id='762447' first='Gracie' last='Hobin'] gets up off of the floor in a hurry and attacks the ball with a violent arm swing. Tons of force is transferred into the ball as it rebounds off of her hand. [player_tooltip player_id='534384' first='Jordan' last='Morrow'] provides some serious heat for this team on the left side as she flies through the air. There is no doubt that she is a stud as an attacker. I also love how confident libero [player_tooltip player_id='693897' first='Caylee' last='Young'] is in the back row. She really takes control and delivers amazing passes to keep this team in system. This team deserves to be taken seriously and is primed for a solid run.

[program_tooltip program_id='510733' first='Drive' last='Nation'] 16 Red is a roster full of potential. Let's start with a juggernaut of power with [player_tooltip player_id='433677' first='Keegan' last='Flowers']. This young lady plays both ways really hard and will showcase herself well in front of all of the college coaches. Everyone will love how hard she drives toward her setter in order to be a target in the air for quicks. The way she unloads onto the ball with her downward swing will leave lots of coaches in awe. Setter [player_tooltip player_id='359399' first='Kamryn' last='Mullican'] tracks the ball well and is very accurate with her location to all zones. Reese Seaton and Gabrielle Garcia are two other names we will be watching closely. The star of the show who will bring a lot of big name schools to their court is outside hitter [player_tooltip player_id='430133' first='Natalie' last='Norton']. Over the last few years she has quietly burst onto the scene with astronomical attacking numbers. What everyone will notice immediately is her height, but if they watch very closely, they will see a tough young lady who is expanding her game and becoming a true OH1 as she stays in for all six rotations and does a lot more than just score points for this squad. Her length helps her to extend her range defensively as she digs balls that are hit to her sides. I strongly suggest you go to her court and give this team a look. They might just surprise you.

What Non-Power Pool Teams Could Sneak Up On People?

[program_tooltip program_id='462263' first='TAV' last='Houston'] 16 Ray is in pool N which might be a pool of death for those in the non-power pools. They have some big name clubs' top teams with them, but they are up for the challenge. Powerhouse left side attacker [player_tooltip player_id='443017' first='Delaney' last='Wright'] can light up the stat book in a hurry. She has a lot of help in this talented roster. Setter [player_tooltip player_id='534410' first='Sasha' last='Keys'] is definitely one to watch as she uses her fast footwork and awesome athleticism to track down balls and dish the rock. She made the transition to the setting position and has worked very hard over the summer to be where she is. Left side [player_tooltip player_id='502107' first='Camille' last='Csernik'] covers a lot of ground with her lengthy frame. I love what she does in the back row in serve receive. [player_tooltip player_id='544624' first='Adrienne' last='Deleon'] is doing a great job helping to run a solid 6-2 offense. I like how she is spreading the ball around very well to all attackers to keep the defense guessing. Right side [player_tooltip player_id='534380' first='Adalynn' last='Smith'] is also providing a lot of heat for the offense as she swings hard down the line. Be on the lookout for this dark horse squad.
