Past Showcase Standouts to Follow on Nebraska 2028 Watch List

Some make splashy freshman debuts on the high school stage, while others capture our attention on the club circuit.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>However, many of our initial discoveries in the last few classes have come through our showcase events. These annual outings have brought together athletes from all levels and locations, giving us the privilege to cover Nebraska's next wave of stars. Bartunek is a dynamic distributor who will eagerly establish herself as an attacking option in the front row. This explosive outside hitter did not shy away from the rigors of Open-level competition this year and proved she could score on either pin. Callahan is one of those success stories, and her influence with 15 Gold has escalated throughout 2025. She is a stout passer and has provided a constant source of energy through 15 Gold's challenging qualifier slate. Cisneros guided the defense for 15 Black and kept her team in some long slugfests at the Show Me Qualifier. Dostal was one of the "freshman forces" that brought Gretna High School back to the tournament stage last fall. She has elevated her game again during this year's club season and was 15 Gold's featured attacker in several big matches. Some of Dostal's biggest progress has come in the back row, where she is a strong outlet on the pipe. This exceptional libero is a natural leader whose uncanny instincts have kept 15 Black near the top of the Great Plains hierarchy. Morgan demonstrated a wide array of skills in La Vista last year, but this was just the start of her upward trajectory. She joined Club Legacy 15 Alpha this spring and helped the team reach the Show Me mountaintop to secure a GJNC bid. This Lincoln North Star freshman has a knack for finding open seams and isn't afraid to use opposing hands to her advantage.
