2025 Prep Dig Iowa Preseason 5A All-State Team

Because it's good, I replied, and highly entertaining. That's because of you guys, the student-athletes. It takes hard work to play varsity and more time to do it really well.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>It makes picking all-state teams difficult, however. Deserving players are invariably left out. On the flip side, those chosen should be recognized. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>In this case, it's our Prep Dig Iowa Preseason 5A All-State Teams: </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>FIRST-TEAM</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='243182' first='Isabelle' last='Kremer'], SR, OH, Pleasant Valley: </strong>The recent Drake commitment earned a spot on the Iowa Girls Volleyball Coaching Association's elite all-state team after leading the Spartans to the Class 5A state title. She pounded out 348 kills (.394) and held up well through six rotations. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='389079' first='Bailey' last='Boeve'], SR, OH, Hinton: </strong>Joining Kremer as the only non-seniors named elite all-state, Boeve has starred for the Blackhawks since she was a freshman leading them to the state tournament semifinals. She was limited by injury as a junior but should be ready for one more run as a prep. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='389066' first='Cambel' last='Drapeau'], SR, MH, Dubuque Senior: </strong>A future teammate of Boeve's at Creighton, Drapeau is an athletic, two-way middle capable of dominating the competition. She collected 342 kills (.343) and 66.0 blocks last season. The IGVBCA picked her for its all-state third team. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='545971' first='Avery' last='Cordes'], SO, RS, Waukee Northwest: </strong>Cordes started as a freshman for the defending state champions last season, when she helped them get back to the title match. She is a devastating weapon at the opposite pin with a hammer and explosion on the attack. She also defends well at the net. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='389019' first='Avery' last='Vogt'], SR, S, Waukee Northwest</strong>: Vogt will join Kremer at Drake and would love to get the title back before moving on to the next level. She dished out 912 assists last season, and contributed 97 kills, 172 digs and 38.0 blocks as a well-rounded standout at her position. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='316419' first='Edie' last='Miller'], JR, L, Iowa City Liberty: </strong>Miller heads into her junior year with 1,142 digs. That tally will continue climbing as long as opponents challenge her.
