Our top-ranked 2027s are flying off the board.

We're about two months into the recruiting cycle for the Class of 2027, and this preseason period felt like a good time to refresh the Nebraska 2027 rankings. This talent-rich group has already produced several big college commitments, so we're starting our post-release coverage by checking in with several D1-bound stars.

How's this for a team dynamic? [program_tooltip program_id='428717' first='Nebraska' last='ONE'] 16 Synergy gave us three early commitments in the Class of 2027, and they're populating each of the three Division I volleyball programs in the Cornhusker State.

[player_tooltip player_id='445956' first='Reagan' last='Wallraff'] established a permanent foothold atop our 2027 rankings since she joined us from Arizona. The Elkhorn North standout has been a star at two different frontcourt positions, giving Creighton a wealth of options for her collegiate future. Wallraff can dent the floor whether she's in the middle or on the outside, and her stat-stuffing prep campaign is just getting started.

We don't have to scroll far down the rankings to find the next Synergy commit. [player_tooltip player_id='458117' first='Malorie' last='Boesiger'], our No. 2 overall prospect, stayed within county lines by pledging to the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. The Huskers are tapping into family ties as Maisie Boesiger embarks on her final season in the scarlet and cream. Malorie, meanwhile, brings familiar pace and precision to the setter spot and is raring to rejoin the Norris lineup.

The hat trick is complete with Synergy standout [player_tooltip player_id='458161' first='Aubree' last='Fettin'] heading to Nebraska Omaha. This feature will likely offer a glimpse at how much the Mavericks value athletes who can do a little of everything. Fettin is a savvy backcourt defender but has also taken over matches with her quick arm on the outside. This dual outside-DS mold is becoming increasingly prevalent in the NCAA, and Fettin is ready to perpetuate that trend in the Summit League.

Nebraska's early 2027s commits have seemingly come in pairs or trios--and from club teammates.

[program_tooltip program_id='428743' first='VCNebraska' last=''] 16 Elite joined the party with a pair of ball-control gems heading to Power 4 schools. Standout setter [player_tooltip player_id='458165' first='McKinley' last='Moser'] announced her commitment to Minnesota, adding to the Big Ten representation among Nebraska's best at the position. Moser's leadership and tenacity were on full display during this year's club season, particularly at the most prominent events on the circuit. She guided 16 Elite to GJNC's Gold bracket in 16 Open and built a wave of summer momentum heading into her junior season at Waverly.

16 Elite's defensive leader also made a splash. Norris junior [player_tooltip player_id='809396' first='Kaelynn' last='Lottman'] pledged to TCU, a perennial postseason contender from the Big 12 Conference. [program_tooltip program_id='428743' first='VCNebraska' last=''] teams are often anchored by their exceptional backcourt play, and Lottman became one of those defensive catalysts for 16 Elite. This fall could bring us Lottman's best prep outing yet as Norris chases a repeat title.

Then, we find one of VCN 16 Elite's top terminators. [player_tooltip player_id='807841' first='Alli' last='Bornschlegl']'s skillset has flourished ever since capturing last fall's Class B title alongside Lottman at Norris. 16 Elite's Open bid would not have been possible without Bornschlegl's over-the-top kills and reception prowess in the middle-back area. Her volleyball journey will continue at South Dakota State, a program coming off a historic 2024 season in the Summit League.

We're not surprised to see Premier Nebraska contributing to the early recruiting action. Once again, we have a setter and an all-around back-row asset contributing to the commitment list.

[player_tooltip player_id='458126' first='Ava' last='Waters'] was ready-made for collegiate volleyball, and she'll make the jump to South Dakota in 2027. The 'Yotes have established an ironclad recruiting pipeline in Nebraska, so Waters should feel right at home in Vermillion. This Millard West junior brings a rare combination of athleticism and finesse to the setter spot, and Premier Nebraska 16 Gold took full advantage of Waters' versatility. The fall season will provide another worthy test.

Fittingly, we're circling back to one more in-state commit to wrap up this feature. [player_tooltip player_id='458162' first='Taylor' last='McLeay'] could shoulder various roles during her collegiate tenure with Nebraska Omaha. We've seen her lock down defensive roles with Premier Nebraska 16 Gold, but GJNC served as a reminder of McLeay's other major strength. She can morph into a high-flying outside hitter and has put up monster numbers throughout her stint at Omaha Marian. No matter which position takes precedence, McLeay is bound to generate more headlines in the Cornhusker State.
