DuPont Manual early season notes

Manual is looking to bounce back this season with revenge from their out to Assumption in the Regional Championship, last year's eventual State winner. The seventh region team swept Dunbar 3-0 this week and looks to have a good year ahead despite being a young team going through a rebuild. We are taking a look at some of the pillars on this team, and some of the younger talent. Lots of talent is brought to the table at all levels!    Nadia is an engaging, fun, fast player to watch displaying incredible talent. She is practically undeniable in her smooth, quick lethal slide which releases an explosive swing and racks up numerous points! She shows great prowess with her powerful swing, her denying block, moving down the net with excellent timing and exceptional vertical. She digs getting to that ball making it playable, tips astutely, covers well, reading the court and making quick adjustments, all while communicating to her teammates. She is an enthusiastic player, supports all on her team and shines on the court. Love, love, love her play, she brings it!     Piper brings, her size, skills, and determination to the court and it shows! She is an athlete that has tons of value on the court with a relentless driving attack unleashing lethal kills or putting up blocks to deny the opposition, she is a weapon! Her fast, powerful swing and excellent contact with the ball produces missiles with such a downward trajectory that the opposition has no chance. Piper can sneakily tip and has no issues to get there to dig either. She is very vocal and supportive of her teammates on the court and plays with the utmost confidence. Not enough words for this player! She has the goods!       Avery can do it all! An impressive player with lots of capabilities anywhere on the court! Avery displayed excellent play from either pin, getting nice kills and a crafty tip, excellent court IQ with good body language, getting the ball up and playable with a few nice ups, excellent digs and some mean serves! We love her fast reactions and play on the court putting herself in the opportune position to make that difference. She is a gamer on the court with a wonderful attitude and lays it down for her team! Her pure talent, skills and effort have made her indispensable! An exciting season ahead for her!     Eva shows incredible confidence on the court for a freshman. She shows good judgment in where, and who to place the ball to with a very correct platform and excellent ball control. She has excellent body language in preparing herself for any ball following the play and covers her teammates well with readiness! She digs hard and correctly and can produce a healthy swing from the back court. She has a great serve to add to her arsenal of tools! Eva has all that it takes to go far, and we are sure it will happen for her!     We like what we saw from Mary's play, she possesses a multitude of skills that make her an asset on the court. With great posture for setting she repeatedly produces nice accurate sets, including an impressive backset. She shows excellent judgement in setting to either pin or middles displaying little opportunity for the opposition to predict her play, all the while making it look easy. She can get up for a block or tip and has an excellent powerful swing to complement her full toolbox! We love her strength in her calmness on the court and how she effectively runs the play. She is crafty and enthusiastic on the court and gets it done! We look forward to seeing more of her play throughout the season, an exciting prospect!
