Five Stock Risers You Need To See From The Class Of 2028

Our positional breakdowns continue tomorrow for the class of 2028, but today we take a quick look at five athletes who really caught our attention since the last update a few months ago. Just like yesterday, four clubs representing five unique athletes that have really moved the needle during this cycle will be featured, and all of them have something special to bring to the table.    A Munciana kid through and through, Brooke has been a passing genius for at least five years now, starting on a 12U team when she was just 10. As the libero for Munciana's 15 Blue squad this past spring, Brooke is a solid, consistent and technically sound libero who can play all three defensive positions at an elite level. Open-level since she started playing, Brooke is a no-doubt D1 prospect who can give the top ten recruits in this (or any) class pause if they choose to take her lightly.     With AAU All-American status in hand and a fifth place finish at AAU nationals, Elyse is an elite-level passer and attacker that is strong and explosive. Already logging 30 kills in two sweeps this early in the season, Miss Mead's transfer from Empowered to PHP will make that squad immediately better because of the multiple skills she brings to the 900 square feet. As a physical leader on a very young roster, West Noble should be quite good for a few years because of Elyse's presence.     Another transfer from Empowered to PHP, Leah is a solid and consistent setter from 4A power Carroll. Calm and controlled, Leah is the quintessential setter who leads by example, running down any and all passes to make the set better for her hitters. Miss Adams also defends her position well, as a lot of setters in most classes rely on ONLY their setting skills. She's a nice departure from the norm, as her all-around play and well-rounded skill set makes her an ideal 6-2 setter for the next level.     Miss Arthur brings us back to central Indiana, where her left-handed hammer can and will score points regularly for whatever roster she's on. Able to hit any angle on any set coming her way, she's highly deceptive with her arm swing; it is quite common to see Kennadie find gaps in the block because she conceals where she's going until the last instant before contact. On defense, she's a solid blocker, not only in technique but also in setting the block for her middles. I like the trajectory this young lady is on—-here's to hoping that her rise continues with her development this fall.     From tiny Evansville Christian, Ainsley is one of only a few underclassmen on this experienced roster, yet is among the leaders already in multiple categories for the Eagles this fall. Identified as a pin attacker, Ainsley is a solid left side attacker with a full arsenal of angles to choose from. She can hit a heavy ball, but prefers to hit smart shots that are more likely to score points immediately. She's also learning to take chances when attacking, showing her development and future might be in overpowering her opponents with her size. At current, she's a three-rotation attacker with some possibility of being a six-rotation outside, just as long as she can develop her serve receive skills.
