G’s Top Liberos at Houston Stock Up Showcase

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Last Sunday was a very fun one as Prep Dig had its Stock Up Showcase come to Houston, providing prospects from the area and beyond an additional opportunity to showcase their skills and raise their profiles ahead of the start of the high school season in Texas.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>With prospects from the classes of 2026, 2027 and 2028 taking part in the event held at the [program_tooltip program_id='462263' first='TAV' last='Houston'] facility, it was also an opportunity for us, scouts, to get familiar with new faces while tracking the progress of the ones we already knew. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>With the event completed, I'm now ready to share the names of the players who had the most impressive performances in each position. She chased every shanked pass or dig on her side of the court and ran over desks on multiple occasions as she attempted to keep the ball in play. Despite a very impressive attitude, Buie also showed excellent technical skills, using her superior ball control to stand out on defense and serve-receive. Her game was very smooth and she was able to maintain a high level of play from the first, simplest drills until the last ones. A very technical player, she stepped into the right spots to make plays and stood out with her ball control and determination to play defense. She absolutely nailed the serve-receive drills, passing dimes every time a serve went her way and displaying outstanding technical foundations to deal with tough serves. She stood out at the libero position, displaying excellent positioning and ball control to keep the ball in play every time it went her way. Dooley also stepped up to play different positions, such as outside hitter and middle, and did that thanks to her solid all-around game, which combines superior technical skills and a high level of athleticism.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
