Houston Freshman Showcase Top Performers Vol 2

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Freshman Showcase in Houston did not disappoint as there were some amazing young volleyball players giving their all in front of our scouts and court coaches.  I thoroughly enjoyed every second of watching them perform because it was their first opportunity for me to get them on our radar for State Ranking purposes.  Let's meet a few of the players who earned a Top Performer award from their awesome individual play.    </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:acf/evaluation-block --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"placeholder":"Add evaluation here...","className":"text-gray-700"} --> <p class="text-gray-700">Miss Prpa is currently an unranked prospect in the 2029 class according to our Texas State Rankings.  She plays volleyball at Kinkaid High School and also for the [program_tooltip program_id='462263' first='TAV' last='Houston'] volleyball club.  When it comes to younger volleyball players, a lot of them tend to be specialized in only one position, but that can really hinder growth according to a lot of college coaches.  After talking to a lot of coaches across the country over the years, they prefer younger players to be very well rounded and able to play multiple positions.  Mila has tons of experience as an attacker and a back row floor general.  Due to her height and power, she has a lot of upside to help out a team in many ways.  One thing that her court coach mentioned to me was how coachable she was.  I went over to her court and agreed that she showed tons of potential with leading by example.  Her serve receive was impeccable and it was due to both sharp tracking of the ball and great fundamentals with her form and technique.  We will be keeping a close eye on her progress over the next few years.  Please help us congratulate her on earning a Top Performer award at our showcase. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- Texas State Rankings but that is only because we have not released them yet.  She plays volleyball at Wimberley High School and also for the Austin Performance volleyball club.  We all marveled at the athleticism and speed of the bouncy left side throughout the entire showcase.  The way she moved around the court and got up and off of the ground was elite to say the least.  Because of her amazing athleticism, every coach who interacted with her nominated her for this award.  Her attacks were extremely electric and she scored quite a few impressive attacks against each team that she went up against.  Due to her all-around ball control being a six-rotation left side attacker who can score from any location, we will be watching her closely to see where she ranks amongst the state's best --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"placeholder":"Add evaluation here...","className":"text-gray-700"} --> <p class="text-gray-700">Miss Guzman is currently an unranked prospect in the 2029 class according to our Texas State Rankings.  She plays volleyball for the McAllen Memorial and also for the Texas Fierce Elite volleyball club.  One thing that stands out to me when I watch her perform in the back row is just how balanced her footwork is at the point of contact.  She is able to have this balance due to how fast she reacts to the ball and with great technique of stopping on both feet in a balanced position.  Her heels hardly ever hit the floor and this helps to keep her super bouncy and quick.  Another aspect that makes her dangerous on defense is how she pushes off quickly in order to extend her defensive range to keep the ball off of the floor.  That super fast reaction is due to some fast-twitch muscle fibers and elite reflexes.  Everyone was super impressed with her abilities in the libero position and we are very proud of how she showcased them amongst some top tier athletes.  Please help us congratulate her on earning a Top Performer award at our showcase.   </p> <!--
