Houston Freshman Showcase Top Performers Vol 1

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Freshman Showcase in Houston did not disappoint as there were some amazing young volleyball players giving their all in front of our scouts and court coaches.  I thoroughly enjoyed every second of watching them perform because it was their first opportunity for me to get them on our radar for State Ranking purposes.  Let's meet a few of the players who earned a Top Performer award from their awesome individual play.    </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:acf/evaluation-block our Texas State Rankings but that is only because we have not released them yet.  She plays volleyball at Sharyland Pioneer High School and also for the Valley Venom volleyball club.  This young lady was born to play the libero position.  We have seen quite a few stud back row floor generals come out of the south Texas region and Emma wants to throw her name in the mix.  We all definitely got to see a stellar performance throughout the entire showcase on Sunday from her.  When she moves to the ball, you see a very silky smooth defender who has such a natural soft touch on the ball.  The ability that she has while laying out laterally for a hard driven ball is elite to say the least.  I love the focus that we saw from her while analyzing where the attack would come from.  Any coach or teammate can have total faith that she will always give her all while playing defense.  We will definitely be keeping our eyes on her as she continues her volleyball journey based on the potential we our Texas State Rankings but that is only because we have not released them yet.  Everything that I saw from her tells me that she will definitely be listed when I update the list next month.  She plays volleyball at Klein Cain high School and also for the [program_tooltip program_id='510661' first='Houston' last='Skyline'] volleyball club.  Texas has had some amazing young setters come through the volleyball scene and I think we have another phenom on our hands named [player_tooltip player_id='731135' first='Hana' last='Penberthy'].  Not only is she a very technical setter with elite skills, but she has a super high volleyball IQ and works as hard as anyone else you have ever seen.  I spoke to her a few times at the showcase and enjoyed every second of it.  The way she carries herself on the court shows that she is a natural leader.  As you watch her move and interact with other players, you see someone who plays well beyond her age.  If you do not know her name, I strongly suggest you write it down and remember the name.  We are very proud to have had her in the gym and will be covering her high school journey closely.  Please help us congratulate her on earning a Top Texas State Rankings but that is only because we have not released them yet.  She plays volleyball for the FBCHA Eagles and also for the [program_tooltip program_id='510661' first='Houston' last='Skyline'] volleyball club.  When it comes to ball control experts, Izabella was one of the stand-outs throughout the showcase.  During the scrimmage portion of the event, you could see that she was confident running the back row.  When you see that she can also set at a very high level, it should make any college coach take notice.  The ball almost looks like it is an extension of her hands and arms with how she is able to control it with ease.  Her serve can be described as a laser that stifles opposing serve receivers.  If you need a player to go to during a crucial moment in a very tight match, Miss Pham is someone that any coach can trust to do the right thing and be able to step up with confidence.  She is a true show-stopper that needs to be noticed as a freshman.  I cannot
