<p>On September 6, a dozen teams competed in the annual Central Catholic Tournament, playing against teams outside of their usual conference. Every player battled the entire day, pushing themselves to becoming stronger players. Here are the passers that not only showed up, but stood out:</p>

<p class="text-gray-700">Richard, a sophomore for the Lions, is their starting libero, owning the court with her speediness. She has a killer jump float that pushes points and challenges opponents. Richard stays on her toes, ready to move at a moments notice and get anything up that is thrown her way. </p>

<p class="text-gray-700">Dean, a sophomore for the Lions, is an excellent DS, remaining open to hitters on defense and hustling for the ball when it goes astray. Her energy lifts her entire team, creating a positive atmosphere. Her feet are fast and her reads, even faster, allowing her to see and cover tips before they even happen. </p>

<p class="text-gray-700">Crepeaux, a junior libero for the Cards, is a very active backrow passer. She remains open to opposing hitters, squaring them off with her shoulders and digging hits flawlessly. Her movements are fluid on serve receive, giving her setters a playable pass. </p>

<p class="text-gray-700">Trees, a senior for the Hawks, is a ball hungry passer, digging and diving constantly. When the setter is out of system, Trees launches the ball from the backrow with her hands to available hitters. She stays open to hitters, and angles her platform to get the ball to her setters. </p>
