She shined again during a scouting opportunity at the Prep Dig Iowa Sizzle in early August. Schneider has carried that production over into her sophomore season. Her 172 kills (.241) and 45.0 blocks both rank second for a Union team off to a 17-3 to the campaign. She's an explosive athlete with power in her swing and also a good sense for executing the block. Schneider still has room for development in both of those areas, but with two and a half more years of high school remaining, she has plenty of time to reach her considerable ceiling.

Cordes broke out as a freshman last season on a youthful Wolves' team that reached the state championship match. She continued that high-level of play operating on the top club team for her age group in Iowa. In both cases, her versatility proved ultra valuable to success. Cordes is doing the same thing accommodating the roster for Northwest this season. With everybody returning from last season, she's helped out in the middle. Cordes mostly lined up on the right side in club. No matter where she is, she produces. College coaches see it. The flexibility makes her more attractive on the next level, where roster sizes have been reduced.

Suhr showed a mature game when I saw her playing club ball this year. She shined again at the Prep Dig Iowa Sizzle in early August. That's led to a sophomore campaign filled with production and efficiency. Suhr was pacing the Raiders in kills with 132 kills through 18 matches, when her .334 percentage was among the best in the state's 2028 Class. Her 30.0 blocks also were tops on her team. Suhr is athletic and agile with long arms. Her instincts in the middle are keen, and she's technically sound. Suhr is a college prospect packed with potential.

Hoegh saw action in one match as a freshman last season. She's making for lost time as a 10th-grader. Hoegh's .371 hitting percentage puts her among the state's leaders in the 2028 Class. Her 70 kills ranked second on MOC-Floyd Valley through the team's first 16 matches, and she led the way with 35.0 blocks. Hoegh established herself as a factor during the last club campaign. Ability to be a two-way presence at the net has carried over into her sophomore season. With skills, height and a high-ceiling, Hoegh can be labeled a prospect on the rise.

Goodell looked the part of impactful middle hitter when I scouted her during the club campaign and again at the Prep Dig Iowa Sizzle in early August. That tracked with what she accomplished as a freshman in 2024, which included 120 kills and 35.0 blocks. Goodell has picked up where she left off with 137 kills and 39.0 blocks, both marks leading the team through 20 matches. It's been another step forward for a prospect primed with athleticism and long arms. Goodell is developing her skills, which is evidenced by her .306 hitting percentage in 2025. Colleges should already be monitoring her progress because the upside is significant.

I first saw Crane in action during a Prep Dig showcase this summer in Central Iowa. After that viewing, it makes a lot of sense that she's finding success as a sophomore on the varsity level. Crane had contributed 50 kills and 23.0 blocks through her team's first 18 matches. Most impressive was her efficiency. She was hitting .226. Crane has a loud game. She explodes off the court, has an impressive vertical leap and generates a ton of power in her swing. Already with a knack for executing the block, room remains before she reaches her potential in that area and others. Crane has raised here stock a lot this year with a chance for it to go much higher.
