The Wimberley Texans have been on a roll this season and no one has been able to completely stop them. They carry a 41-5 overall record and an undefeated district 10-0 record into the playoffs. This squad is led by a few upperclassmen and one standout freshman phenom on offense. Senior [player_tooltip player_id='844700' first='Lilli' last='Sandoval'] and freshman [player_tooltip player_id='784876' first='Trinity' last='Laney'] have been on fire at the net. Lilli has 358 kills while Trinity has 328 for the Texans. There are some heavy hitters who are contributing to the team's success like fellow seniors [player_tooltip player_id='840842' first='Cameron' last='Thames'] and Mariah McCoy. If this team is to keep their winning ways in the one and one playoff format, all of these young ladies need to band together and continue to work hard. [player_tooltip player_id='809107' first='Ashton' last='Shipman'] anchors the back row and leads the team in digs as she has 473 total and averages 10.3 per match. The experience of a majority of this squad is going to prove to be extremely valuable for their playoff run, especially the play of their two senior setters, [player_tooltip player_id='509264' first='Skylar' last='Herring'] and [player_tooltip player_id='747327' first='Carson' last='Peoples']. Both do such a great job of distributing the ball around to keep the opposing team off-balance. We will see if they can handle the pressure that comes from the gauntlet of the tourney.

The Aubrey Chaparrals have been one of the hottest teams in the state in 4A all year long. They have an overall record of 41-3 and a perfect 14-0 district record heading into the playoffs. Their entire roster is littered with stars who can keep this team super competitive with anyone that tries to match up with them. In the middle, senior [player_tooltip player_id='810150' first='Shaelyn' last='Ward'] plays a huge part on both offense and defense. What stands out from her is sheer power in her upper body and how fast she transitions from block to attack. I love the way she runs her routes with precision and a strong drive toward the net. [player_tooltip player_id='845019' first='Kylie' last='Miller'] is another solid middle who has great blocking skills. She shows awesome timing waiting to jump slightly after the opposing attacker jumps. Libero Emma Conley has a great zone serve that can stifle opponents serve receive and plays great defense out of the left back zone. Opposite [player_tooltip player_id='826405' first='Ava' last='Thompson'] is a big and strong weapon on the right side. She is someone who can shut down the best player on the other side of the net in a hurry. I think her defense will be key during the playoffs. Setter [player_tooltip player_id='792949' first='Baylee' last='Hampton'] plays the game with a lot of fire whether she is delivering the rock or sending over strong dumps to score for her squad. Outsides Katie Michael and Libby Collins will be looked at to stay steady at the net as this team looks to continue their dominance in the 4A playoffs.
