Let's dive deeper into the athletes and the programs they represent.

Waverly will return the majority of its starting lineup from this year's state semifinal run, positioning the Vikings as an immediate contender heading into 2026. Leading the charge is Minnesota commit [player_tooltip player_id='458165' first='McKinley' last='Moser'], who operates as the heartbeat of the offense and one of the most composed setters in the state.

Moser is an exceptional floor general—smooth, poised, and consistently in control of the match's tempo. Her ability to distribute the ball evenly across the net keeps defenses off balance, and her decision-making maturity is well beyond her age. What truly sets her apart, though, is her floor defense. Moser reads the game at a high level, moves efficiently, and turns difficult plays into seamless transitions. As she continues to develop, she'll remain one of Class B's most impactful all-around players. Moser is also very offensive minded and can sneak a dump at the most opportune times. She had 927 assists and 61 ace serves this past season.

Libero [player_tooltip player_id='521256' first='Emmalyn' last='Quinn'] brings a veteran presence to Waverly's back row and will once again be a major stabilizer for the Vikings next season. Known for her wicked lefty float serve, Quinn consistently puts opponents on their heels as she racked up 44 aces this past fall.

In serve receive, she's equally dependable. Quinn's first contact is clean and consistent, allowing Moser to run the full offense with confidence. Her experience shows in every rotation; having started since her sophomore year, she plays with a calmness and composure that anchors Waverly's entire defensive system. Steady, disciplined, and always in the right position, Quinn will remain a crucial piece of the Vikings' success heading into 2026.

Duo pin hitters Gracie and Hallie Launestein surpassed 800 combined kills this past fall, with Gracie recording 416 and Hallie adding 406. The pair carried the offensive load for the Vikings, showcasing exceptional athleticism and power. Both are highly effective at tooling the block and consistently creating scoring opportunities from the pins.

Elkhorn North, [player_tooltip player_id='445956' first='Reagan' last='Wallraff']—a Creighton commit and one of the state's premier hitters—delivered a state-leading 692 kills. She capped her junior campaign with a remarkable 30-kill performance in the four-set state championship match against Norris. Walraff's explosiveness, range, and ability to attack from anywhere on the court allow her to take over matches for the Wolves. Watching her development from this season into her senior year will be exciting!

Another rangy attacker is Norris' [player_tooltip player_id='807841' first='Alli' last='Bornschlegl'], whose stock skyrocketed this season as she emerged as a high-level six-rotation threat. The junior doubled her kill total from her sophomore year, finishing with an impressive 546 kills, along with 41 aces and 314 digs. Her ability to elevate above the net and find the floor from anywhere makes her incredibly difficult to contain.

[player_tooltip player_id='809396' first='Kaelynn' last='Lottman'] also had a breakout year on the pin. After serving as a defensive specialist during last season's state title run, the junior transitioned into a dynamic six-rotation player. The TCU commit was lethal from the service line, piling up 82 aces, and she added 266 kills on the season. Lottman shined brightest on the biggest stage, hammering a team-high 22 kills in Friday's semifinal win over Waverly to help send the Titans to Saturday's state final.

Nebraska commit [player_tooltip player_id='458117' first='Malorie' last='Boesiger'] orchestrated the Titans' offense with precision, fueling a championship season in which the team produced 1,467 kills. Boesiger totaled 1,220 assists, consistently putting her hitters in scoring position. She also proved to be an offensive weapon herself, disguising her setter dump with ease. At the service line, she added 70 aces, contributing to the Titans' overall strength behind the service line.

As thrilling as this season was—from start to finish and especially at the State Championship—next year promises even more excitement. Several high-level players will return to take their final bow, poised to elevate the competition once again. Looking forward to club season and the build into next fall!
