Exposure Tour Houston: G’s Well-Rounded Outside Hitters

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Prep Dig Exposure Tour made it to Houston this past weekend, with over 70 prospects from the 2026, 2027, 2028 and 2029 classes spending a couple of memorable hours with us at Competitive Edge Sports Complex, the home of popular club [program_tooltip program_id='462263' first='TAV' last='Houston'], in Spring, on Sunday morning.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>It was a great opportunity for us, Prep Dig scouts, to get to know up-and-coming players in the region while also tracking the progress of others we were already familiar with. She's also a standout beach player, which helps explain her excellent all-around game and lower-body strength. Selig's ball control makes of her a very productive player at the pin as she has what it takes to stabilize the team's serve-receive system, while also delivering great production on defense. Offensively, she makes the most of her court vision and technical skills to find open spots and send the ball there, while making very few errors. She registered as a libero for our event, and certainly performed as so on the back row, but also spent significant time at the pin and absolutely killed it. Tiller was extremely crafty and intelligent offensively, getting off the floor well and using tips and tooling the block to score points. She was excellent when finding solutions to tight sets, intelligently using the blockers' hands to score or at least recycle the play. With a nice combination of power and finesse, she emerged as one of the most interesting outside hitters on the court. She was one of the most solid and reliable offensive players in the entire event, consistently making the right choices up at the net and delivering what was needed to put the ball down in each play. When it came to offensive firepower, she was right up there with the best we saw on the court on Sunday. Very long and athletic, she made contact with the ball at a very high point every time she went up to swing, and demonstrated an impressive ability to find gaps in the opposing block, getting some ridiculous bounces on some occasions. Goodwins also displayed great offensive versatility, swinging at a high level from the left and the right, and was able to find really sharp angles from both pins. She was among the very best servers in the event, and every time she went up to fire her floater, she'd get passers across the net in trouble. The outside hitter also displayed solid technical foundations in the serve-receive drill, being very intentional with how she always placed her body behind the ball and ensuring smooth and accurate deliveries. Bierman was very dynamic at the net, using her length and heavy arm to get some powerful crosscourt swings down.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
