Top Uncommitted 2027s Competing in Chesapeake Regionals

<p>The Chesapeake Regional Bid Championships have some extremely talented players from the class of 2027 who have yet to commit. Below is the top ranked player from each club participating that has yet to commit.</p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">[program_tooltip program_id='476729' first='Paramount' last=''] Nick</h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">While she has bounced around to play at three different high schools she has been pretty loyal about playing for [program_tooltip program_id='476729' first='Paramount' last='']. Last year she played up on the 17s. This year she plays her grade.</p>   <p>The 17 team already carries two impressive left sides that have already committed in [player_tooltip player_id='528707' first='Annika' last='Dandridge'] (Vanderbilt) and [player_tooltip player_id='435748' first='Aaliyah' last='Green'] (Connecticut). Not too sure what her playing situation looks like. Though she is ranked at number 11 in the class of 2027 (and number 6 for outsides) Annika and Aaliyah are still ranked higher than her. Talk about a surplus. I am still a bit shocked they have yet to snag a bid for Open after finishing in the Top 25 at Triple Crown. In the last two Qualifiers they played in they were beaten by Metro 17.</p>   <p>Louise also combined with [player_tooltip player_id='941986' first='Coco' last='Lewis'] at left side to help Paul VI capture the WCAC crown and finish second in the VI'SAA state championships. She finished second to Coco in kills and third in digs. A six rotation player when on the court she earned second team WCAC and first team VISAA..</p>    <h2 class="wp-block-heading">MVSA Blaze</h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">The number three libero in our class of 2027. Both liberos rated ahead of her have already committed. One of them, [player_tooltip player_id='265167' first='Laila' last='Chadwick'] even won the Virginia Gatorade Player of the year. Last year Ana's older sister Ema won the Maryland Gatorade Player of the Year.</p>   <p>Talent seems to surround her. Or perhaps she makes that talent perform. She is the backbone of the Richard Montgomery team that had won back to back Maryland state championships. This past year the streak was broken as they were upset in the quarterfinals.</p>   <p>A true team player with an excellent attitude on and off the court. </p>    <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Virginia Juniors</h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">Kieran is the number one rated right side in the class of 2027. However, she has the flexibility to hit left side as well. With Metro she was pinched into playing right side with a lot of shared playing time.</p>   <p class="text-gray-700">Because Virginia Juniors runs a 5/1 with [player_tooltip player_id='206729' first='Megan' last='Phan'] this allows Kieran to play six rotations when playing right side. As with Metro, left side is limited with [player_tooltip player_id='941986' first='Coco' last='Lewis'] and [player_tooltip player_id='438068' first='Ayla' last='Sayd'] established at that position.</p>   <p class="text-gray-700">Another great team player to have on the court. Also a very emotional player who can certainly switch the momentum with one swing.</p>    <h2 class="wp-block-heading">[program_tooltip program_id='498081' first='Loudoun' last='Elite'] Quinton</h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">Normally left sides who stand less than 5'10" are not as successful at the Division I level. No matter how hard they hit there still exists a blocking issue when going up against a much taller right side. Lacey consistently terminates the ball on the left side no matter the block that is put up against her. She could be an exception to that rule. As a Division II or III coach I would definitely give her a look. Lower Division I programs may find her offense attractive.</p>   <p class="text-gray-700">She also plays six rotations consistently being used in the back row attack. If not used as a front row player she could be an excellent option to be used in the back row for offense. This is where higher Division I programs may find her useful.</p>   <p class="text-gray-700">For this next updated ranking it would not surprise me to see her move up from her current ranking of 67.</p>    <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Metro National</h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">Kennedy was a standout for her National Cathedral team. She and [player_tooltip player_id='412055' first='Lilly' last='Kennedy'] combined to lead the high school to a 17-6 record and third place finish in the ISL, even pulling off a major upset over Flint Hil. Kennedy led the team in kills and played a six rotation left side.</p>   <p class="text-gray-700">I finally got to see her play in a local Maryland Juniors Open tournament. I was not disappointed She lists at 5'11 with an approach jump just short of 10 feet. A first team ISL selection and a second team All DC selection. </p>   <p class="text-gray-700">The Metro National team has a number of interesting prospects with nice athletic skills at the pins who have yet to commit. As a team they would be worth the look.</p>    <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Virginia Elite</h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">In my opinion one of the better hitters to put away a quick tempo set. Olivia has the ability to power the ball left or right. Some middles have a tendency to always turn left. She led Bishop O'Connell with an impressive hitting percentage of .492. </p>   <p>At 6'1" her approach jump hits 9'8". Her long arm extension increases the height of her swing. Still needs some work on her reads with the blocks so she can get to the outside quicker.</p>   <p>She also has a strong serve but still needs to find a little more consistency finding the court. In my opinion a diamond in the rough that can only get better.</p>    <h2 class="wp-block-heading">[program_tooltip program_id='476729' first='Paramount' last=''] Allorie</h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">Katherine has good height at 6'2". She also swings left handed, which is a perfect place for the right side. Her 9'5" approach jump could use a little more lift, but that is why she plays for the second team. I did not see her name on the Mountain View volleyball roster, which is where she played last year.</p>   <p>She impressed at a recent Prep Dig Exposure tour in Richmond, putting a number of balls away. She fell just short of a top performer.</p>   <p>Her bio indicates she enjoys her practices hard. With that kind of attitude she can only get better.</p>    <h2 class="wp-block-heading">[program_tooltip program_id='494409' first='Blue' last='Ridge'] Blue</h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">She plays high school in West Virginia for a strong Hedgesville High School team. One of her teammates is [player_tooltip player_id='325603' first='Parker' last='Sutherland'] a class of 2026 who once suited up for [program_tooltip program_id='476729' first='Paramount' last=''] but now plays for [program_tooltip program_id='494409' first='Blue' last='Ridge'] 18.</p>   <p>At 6'2" Emmeri brings some height to the outside. For Hedgesville she finished third in kills. Not really too sure what position she plays for [program_tooltip program_id='494409' first='Blue' last='Ridge']. When she first played for them at 15U she played middle. The last couple years she has focused on the pins. On the Capitol Hill Classic roster she is listed as an outside.</p>   <p>For Liberty Elite last year she played on the 18s team, two years above her grade. She held her own hitting left side. </p>    <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Maryland Juniors Black</h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">This 17 team used to have [player_tooltip player_id='528707' first='Annika' last='Dandridge'], [player_tooltip player_id='529251' first='Jessica' last='Li'], [player_tooltip player_id='438097' first='Haile' last='Ma'] and [player_tooltip player_id='506629' first='Dylann' last='Loggins'] on the their roster, all departing for a different club but ranked in the top 50. Dakota is a quality setter that may have benefitted from these departures. She also sets for Annapolis Area Christian, leading them to an IAAM title. She sets from the back row while [player_tooltip player_id='762823' first='Brie' last='Mouton'] sets from the front row.</p>   <p class="text-gray-700">If you are looking for a quality setter that hits her spots consistently Dakota can do all that. Her height will restrict her to setting to the back row. Her older sister Daisey was a little taller at 5'8" but was also restricted to the back row. She earned a scholarship to Verginia State. No reason why Dakota can't perform at that same level.</p>    <h2 class="wp-block-heading">[program_tooltip program_id='498081' first='Loudoun' last='Elite'] Tony</h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">Players ranked beyond 100 are usually players who have some restrictions. It is not because they lack skill. A number of players ranked outside the top 100 find a college of interest. In the class of 2026 23 percent have committed to a college and it could be higher since it is much tougher tracking Division III commitments. Christine is looking for a college that will help develop her interest in becoming a commercial pilot. Perhaps a service academy will find her skills intriguing.</p>   <p class="text-gray-700">She takes a good swing at the ball while also playing six rotations. Her 5'8" height is a limiting factor that will restrict her to a lower Division I or Division II or III schools. She has the skills to have an impact on the court, otherwise she would not be ranked.</p>    <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Liberty Elite National</h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">Not a lot is known about Liberty 17. They always have some talent on this team. Jenna is the highest ranked player at 102. As a setter (and at other positions as well) she has led Smithsburg to a couple successful seasons, vying for state championship appearances. Last year Smithsburg reached the the Regional finals.</p>   <p>Her 5'6" height restricts her to focusing more on the back row for setting. As mentioned for Smithsburg her skill level is not restricted to just setting. She also plays outside and can handle the libero position.</p>   <p>As an outside she can put some velocity on the ball but her height could restrict her to a back row attack option. Another player who has a great attiude on the court. A strong volleyball IQ as well. Seems to like to hit the ball to the open spots.</p>
