It's hard to believe we're three weeks into the ride, but here were are.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>While teams will decide it on the court, predicting who they will be is a fun exercise, for me, and, hopefully, you. We love rankings!</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>I'll be lining up teams in the state's second largest class, 4A, each Monday (or Tuesday) throughout the season. Here's how I see it heading into Week 5:</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>1. Assumption</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Knights move up one spot to No. 1 with a solid resume in what looks like wide-open Class 4A. Among the Knights 11 victories are Ankeny Centennial, North Scott (twice), Pleasant Valley, Clear Creek Amana, Prairie and Regina. They've competed closely against other top 5A teams and have no bad losses. Junior&nbsp;[player_tooltip player_id='694203' first='Belle' last='Cotton']<a href="https://prepdig.com/player/belle-cotton/"></a>&nbsp;has collected 162 kills (.276) and added 103 digs in 48 sets. Freshmen&nbsp;[player_tooltip player_id='877691' first='Piper' last='Peterson']<a href="https://prepdig.com/player/piper-peterson/"></a>&nbsp;and&nbsp;[player_tooltip player_id='918791' first='Zoe' last='Cinadr']<a href="https://prepdig.com/player/zoe-cinadr-4/"></a>&nbsp;have combined for 183 kills, Natalie Depoorter has 371 assists,[player_tooltip player_id='1037650' first='Taylor' last='Camarena']<a href="https://prepdig.com/player/taylor-camarena/"></a>&nbsp;has 50 with 35.0 blocks.&nbsp;[player_tooltip player_id='742600' first='Piper' last='Hodge']<a href="https://prepdig.com/player/piper-hodge/"></a>&nbsp;has piled up 236 digs.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>2. Sioux Center</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Warriors check in second this week despite having five losses on the resume. They came against good teams in Western Christian, MOC-Floyd Valley, Hinton and twice to Sioux Falls (SD) Christian. Sioux Center challenges itself against a tough schedule, which is why it climbed all the way to the Class 4A state title match last year.&nbsp;[player_tooltip player_id='816843' first='Maryn' last='Franken']<a href="https://prepdig.com/player/maryn-franken/"></a>&nbsp;has collected 155 kills (.291) in 38 sets to go with 99 digs and 21.0 blocks so far this year.&nbsp;[player_tooltip player_id='841522' first='Adison' last='Brantsen']<a href="https://prepdig.com/player/adison-brantsen/"></a>&nbsp;added 93 kills and picked up a team-best 118 digs. Jorgia VanDeBerg and Stella Hietbrink combined for 103 kills.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>3. Clear Creek Amana</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Clippers jump up a spot to No. 3 this week on the strength of wins against Iowa City West and Bettendorf along with 2-1 losses to Liberty and Assumption. They enter Week 5 with a 15-3 record.&nbsp;[player_tooltip player_id='516002' first='Julia' last='Schlarbaum']<a href="https://prepdig.com/player/julia-schlarbaum/"></a>&nbsp;and&nbsp;[player_tooltip player_id='493660' first='Bailey' last='Simpson']<a href="https://prepdig.com/player/bailey-simpson-3/"></a>&nbsp;have teamed up for 344 kills while standing out though six rotations in the first 44 sets this season.&nbsp;[player_tooltip player_id='693879' first='Delaney' last='Vaske']<a href="https://prepdig.com/player/delaney-vaske/"></a>&nbsp;and&nbsp;[player_tooltip player_id='571219' first='Haydin' last='Wauters']<a href="https://prepdig.com/player/haydin-wauters/"></a>&nbsp;have 119 kills and 47.0 blocks between them, Payton Curtin has 418 assists and&nbsp;[player_tooltip player_id='902716' first='Kendall' last='Ronnfeldt']<a href="https://prepdig.com/player/kendall-ronnfeldt/"></a>&nbsp;has 151 digs.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>4. Norwalk</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Norwalk has bounced back from three losses in Week 1 and checks in fourth this week. The Warriors picked up a 3-0, Little Hawkeye win against Oskaloosa last week. Junior&nbsp;[player_tooltip player_id='560368' first='Elle' last='Hatlevig'], a Michigan State commitment, has torn up the competition to the tune of 223 kills (.440) in 39 sets. Senior setter&nbsp;[player_tooltip player_id='493974' first='Hadley' last='Michael']<a href="https://prepdig.com/player/hadley-michael-3/"></a>&nbsp;also has been excellent with team-highs in assists (365) and blocks (27.0), while ranking second in digs (80). Embry Dupont,&nbsp;[player_tooltip player_id='758781' first='Myla' last='Brown']<a href="https://prepdig.com/player/myla-brown/"></a>&nbsp;and&nbsp;[player_tooltip player_id='730403' first='Delaynee' last='Steele']<a href="https://prepdig.com/player/delaynee-steele/"></a>&nbsp;have teamed up for 177 kills, and&nbsp;[player_tooltip player_id='809159' first='Reese' last='Heim']<a href="https://prepdig.com/player/reese-heim-2/"></a>&nbsp;107 digs.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>5. They've built a 15-3 record with wins against Cedar Falls, Indianola, Cedar Rapids Kennedy, Wilton and Wahlert. [player_tooltip player_id='493984' first='Kyla' last='Ramler'], an Illinois State commitment, has recorded 181 kills (.293), 93 digs and 20.0 blocks in 47 sets.
