Next Stop: More Arkansas Players Make Their College Commitments

The commitments continue to roll in for Arkansas volleyball. Over the past few weeks, another group of players from the 2027 and 2028 classes have announced where they will continue their careers.   This group is headed all over the map and to every level of college volleyball. We have Division I commitments to Louisiana Tech, Old Dominion, Charleston Southern, Arkansas State, Jackson State and George Mason, along with Division II commitment to Colorado Christian, and a Division III commitment to Hendrix.   Here are some of the latest Arkansas players who have found their next home.    Committed: Colorado Christian | NCAA Division II Hammond has been a name on my radar for a while. She is a versatile pin who can contribute from either side of the net and has been part of a very good Bentonville West program. She plays bigger than her 5'9" frame and brings plenty of competitive experience from both the high school and club levels. She is manning the middle for one the best 6A teams in the state.   Noelle on her commitment:   <blockquote class="wp-block-quote"> “I am so excited about my verbal commitment to Colorado Christian University! I was drawn to the school because of the great coaching and positive environment that has been established by Coach Blanken. I am ready to be pushed at a new level and grow as a player and person. It's a super special program, so I can't wait for my future at CCU!” </blockquote>     Committed: Jackson State | NCAA Division I Brown is an athletic front-row player who gives Little Rock Central some versatility. She can work in the middle or move outside, and her athletic ability has always been one of the best parts of her game. She's playing a lot of rightside this season for Central. Brown has continued to develop technically while competing against strong competition at Central and with EVA. I'm grateful for everyone who has supported me throughout my journey, and I'm excited for the opportunity to continue growing academically, athletically, and personally at the next level. I'm ready to give my all, represent Jackson State, and see what God has in store for me.” </blockquote>     Committed: Louisiana Tech | NCAA Division I Jackson is one of the top prospects in Arkansas' 2028 class and brings true six-rotation potential to the floor. At 5'11", she has good size for the pin but isn't limited to the front row. Her ability to attack, defend and handle the ball makes her an all-around prospect. Jackson becomes another member of a talented Arkansas 2028 class to make an early Division I commitment.   London on her commitment:   <blockquote class="wp-block-quote"> “I am SO excited to announce my verbal commitment to continue my academic and athletic career at the Division I level with Louisiana Tech University! I know I would not be here without you.” </blockquote>     Committed: Old Dominion | NCAA Division I At 6'1", Brown has the size and physical tools that immediately get your attention on the right side. She has developed against some of the best competition in Arkansas with Fayetteville and Ozark Juniors and has established herself as the top-ranked right-side prospect in the state's 2028 class.   Avah on her commitment:   <blockquote class="wp-block-quote"> “Firstly I want to thank God! I would not be where I am today without him! Go Monarchs!! ” </blockquote>     Committed: George Mason | NCAA Division I Hogue is another member of a loaded 2028 Arkansas class who has already found her college home. At 6'1", she has the size and athleticism to play either middle or right side and gives Fayetteville a physical presence along the front line.   Playing for Fayetteville and Ozark Juniors has given Hogue plenty of opportunities to compete against high-level talent. She is still early in her development, which makes her upside especially interesting. With her size, versatility and ability to impact the game at the net, Hogue has the tools to continue making big strides over the next two seasons. None of this would be possible without Him!!” </blockquote>     Committed: Charleston Southern | NCAA Division I Thompson is another example of why height doesn't tell you much about a back-row prospect. The 5'5" DS/L has developed into a strong ball-control player for Farmington and Ozark Juniors. She has played in plenty of meaningful matches and understands what it takes to compete in a winning program. Charleston Southern saw enough to make Thompson part of its future, giving her the opportunity to continue her career at the Division I level. The 5'7" setter/right side brings versatility, volleyball IQ and the ability to contribute in several different roles. She has developed with Greenbrier and EVA and will stay in-state for college after committing to Arkansas State. For a 2028 prospect, having that decision made this early gives Parker plenty of time to continue developing her game. At 5'10", she can work in the middle or on the right side and gives her team another option at the net. She has also continued developing her game with EVA 17 Navy. Russell will stay close to home and continue her volleyball career at Hendrix. Belle is also a very talented vocalist and has sung the National Anthem at multiple venues including Baum Stadium and Dickey-Stephens Park.
