In her second year on varsity at Ridge Point High School, she has continued her solid output but has already surpassed her last season’s assist total.  She currently has 804 assists and is averaging eight and a half assists per set.  When you add in the fact that she has 31 aces on the year, you have one amazing season of production to help her squad be competitive.  Although only listed at five foot five inches tall, she plays the game with energy and tons of effort.  We have seen her do some great things during the club season with her fast footwork and it is nice to see her step up to the plate during the high school season.  One aspect that she excels in is playing right back zone defense like a libero.  You can always count on her being ready to do whatever it takes to keep the ball in play. 

Johnson did an excellent job of keeping Ridge Point in a strong offensive rhythm during the entire match. She got to work with excellent passing for almost the entire time and made the most of it, intelligently moving her hitters around and creating quick combination plays. The senior setter thrived with her distribution, diversifying well and not overloading any of her hitters. Despite not being very tall, Johnson also appeared well at the net, using her athleticism to have a solid blocking presence and to win jousts and score on setter dumps off of tight passes.
