McGuire was part of the Houston Skyline 16 Black team that finished 15th with four wins and four losses. An extremely mobile setter, she stood out for her ability to track passes down on the court. McGuire was very quick to get to the ball and always managed to get her body in great balance before making contact with it, ensuring great accuracy for her locations. The setter also did very well with her distribution and consistently got her hitters in good spots at the pins by setting against the flow of play.

Standing at 5’8”, this Skyline setter has impressed on our watch list with her graceful and controlled jump sets. She moves with precision, getting her feet stopped and perfectly timed on every ball, and her smooth hands deliver consistent placement. Her neutral body and hand positioning make her nearly impossible to read, keeping blockers guessing. Confident and composed, she runs the offense with her hitters flawlessly, creating constant challenges for opposing defenses. She is someone you definitely need to watch soon and you try to guess who she is running. 

McGuire and her Houston Skyline 15 Black team will compete in Pool E in the 15s division in Mesa. A reliable and intelligent playmaker, she makes her team play in a strong rhythm offensively and does a good job of sharing the ball among her hitters. McGuire is very precise and keeps her accuracy even when working with passes off the net. The setter has good size, athleticism, and technical skills, and uses that combination to contribute to her team in different areas of the game.

Her firm hands guided the team’s offense and made it one of the most dynamic and consistent in the division. McGuire did an excellent job with her distribution and managed to get the ball to the pin from anywhere on the court. She’s also very athletic and that shows in how efficiently she moves on the court and has strong technical skills, which also help her when playing defense.
