The freshman is a standout setter, but she’s also one of the best hitters in the state, with incredible power and an outstanding volleyball IQ. What a freshman season for Boyana! She has been impressive all year, securing a spot on varsity for most, if not all, matches. She can play multiple positions at a high level, currently playing oppo and right back for the Gaels. In this match, she stepped up big time on defense, racking up 13 digs! She totally handled some hard hits from Coronado’s top players, keeping the ball alive when it looked like they’d score for sure.
