How long have you been setting, and what made you fall in love with the position?

I’ve been setting for 2 seasons, and plan to make it 3 this fall. Something that made me fall in love with setting was the leadership aspect of it. Setting allows me to connect further with my teammates and build strong individual relationships on and off the court.

What goals do you have for yourself going into high school?

One goal I have for myself in high school is to make one of the teams at Bishop Gorman High School and earn the opportunity to set for that team. I also want to continue improving my consistency and become a setter my teammates can always rely on to deliver good sets under pressure.

Are there any setters you look up to?

One setter I look up to is Bergen Reilly. I love how calm and composed she stays throughout a match. She doesn’t crack under pressure, and I aspire to be like her someday.

What high school will you be attending next year?

The high school I will be attending next year is Bishop Gorman High School.

Charley is a lefty setter/opposite who continues to elevate her game through extra reps and consistent work. She shows good ball placement as a setter, allowing hitters to attack in rhythm, and brings added offensive value with her ability to score.
