Zoey has built her reputation through relentless effort and a nonstop motor on the court. The Vegas Aces libero has been putting in the sweat equity for years, and this season it has paid off in a major way. Zoey recently helped Vegas Aces 14 Ren earn a bid to nationals after capturing first place at Red Rock Rave, continuing to establish herself as one of the top liberos in her class. Her game is polished beyond her years, especially in serve receive where she consistently delivers a strong platform and calm presence in the back row. Defensively, she is fearless, never hesitating to get low or hit the floor to keep plays alive. She also reads the game at a high level, racks up aces with a tough float serve, and is always ready to attack from the back row when the opportunity presents itself.
“As my team’s libero, my biggest strength is my ability to read and play defense. I love being the person my team counts on in the back row,” Zoey told Prep Dig Nevada.
Heading into the UA Next Middle School Camp, Zoey is looking to continue challenging herself while learning from other talented athletes.
“My goal is to push myself outside of my comfort zone. I look forward to connecting with other players and to learn from everyone around me,” she said.
When asked what she hopes college coaches notice most about her game, Zoey pointed directly to her defensive mentality and effort.
“I would like coaches to notice my defensive intensity and court awareness. As a libero, my job is to get to every ball. I want them to see my effort and contribution to keeping the game in play,” she shared.
Outside of volleyball, Zoey says she prides herself on being caring, positive, and dedicated both on and off the court.
“I am a genuinely caring person and care about all people around me. I’m positive, hardworking, and dedicated but more than anything, I love my teammates. I always do my best to show up for them on and off the court. I truly believe that team culture is key to success.”

Zoey, only a 2030, showed she can compete with older athletes and even earned a Top Performer award. We had no doubt that she could hang, but she emerged early as a standout. Her passing form was polished, and her serving was smooth and effective. Zoey more than held her own among 2029s, and likely could’ve thrived in the Stock Up Showcase as well. — Kantessa Bryant-Miller @prepdignv
