2025 has been a big year for Wallraff. She joined the loaded Nebraska ONE 16 Synergy lineup and learned how to defend in the fiery crucible of Open-level volleyball. Elkhorn North needed a new commander in the contrasting jersey this fall, and Wallraff was it. She led all players with 17 digs in the Class B title match against Norris, proving Wallraff’s ability to respond when the stakes are highest.

Wallraff has clearly found her footing with one of Nebraska’s premier prep squads. She is already approaching the dig total she compiled over all of last season with Elkhorn North. This spring’s high-level reps with Nebraska ONE 16 Synergy have primed Wallraff for whatever she could face this fall, and the wins keep rolling in. A Bellevue West invite championship was the highlight of a 9-2 start, but Wallraff and the Wolves aren’t done yet.

Last summer’s Freshman Showcase was our big introduction to Nebraska’s Class of 2028. Wallraff made the most of her first impression and was one of the strongest all-around defenders in the gym. We’ve seen Wallraff flourish with Nebraska ONE 16 Synergy, culminating in the team’s podium finish in AAU’s 16 Open division. Wherever 16 Synergy needs to stabilize its passing or defense, Wallraff is available to slot in and make an impact.

Wallraff’s adaptability has been her best contribution to Nebraska ONE 16 Synergy’s quick start. 16 Synergy spent the first few weeks of the season experimenting with several different lineups, and Wallraff was keen to make an impact no matter which starting rotation prevailed. Her gritty defense and infectious energy lifted 16 Synergy to an Open championship at NIT–a huge stepping stone for a team with sky-high expectations. We started this feature with a 16s standout, so we’ll wrap up with one, too. Wallraff first landed on our radar through her exceptional performance at last year’s Prep Dig Freshman Showcase. She has now earned a spot in the Nebraska ONE 16 Synergy lineup and can patrol any area along the end line. We’ve seen Wallraff make big plays in both left-back and middle-back, where she can absorb some crosscourt heat and produce workable transition digs. This latest iteration occupies the libero spot and made quite an introduction at Sunday’s showcase.
