Elsa is currently an unranked prospect in the 2028 Class according to our Prep Dig Texas State Rankings. She plays volleyball at Tompkins High School and plays club for the Houston Juniors volleyball program. As I made it over to her team’s court I was pleasantly surprised with her play. She was very technically sound in her blocking form and that helped her team’s defense immensely. Her timing was impeccable as she jumped slightly after the hitter in order to press over the net to seal it away just as the attacker was contacting the ball. While a lot of younger players tend to swing their arms wildly and raise their head, Miss St. Rose kept her head down during her press which kept her shoulders leaning forward and this resulted in a very strong upper body to block with. Although some of her teammates in her position were a little taller, I thought she outshined them with her speed and form. This kind of attention to detail in her technique at this age will result in some solid offers when she gets older from colleges. We will definitely be adding her to our watch list for this season and you should also.
