We were treated to a new wrinkle in Erwin’s game at the Stock Up Showcase. During our spring run-ins with Premier Nebraska 15 Red, Erwin primarily did her damage in the middle. She was especially lethal as a gap hitter who could snap on slower tempos away from the setter. Perhaps that work toward the antenna has primed Erwin for escalating reps on the outside. She lit up the pin positions during positional drills and slugged the ball with unmatched heat. Erwin can make the most of any ball in her hitting window, which becomes a valuable asset as setters rotate in and out of the showcase lineup. This Millard South sophomore boasts the versatility to handle it all.
