Yes, we have a soft spot for our past showcase gems. Green was another top performer from our Freshman Showcase, and she’ll join O’Connell in the Premier Nebraska gym this spring. Stepping into the lineup for a four-time defending champion can be a daunting proposition, but Green handled her responsibilities with outstanding maturity and poise. This yielded 239 kills on a 0.187 clip, finishing second on Lincoln Lutheran’s total scoring ledger. She also brought the same first-contact consistency we saw at our showcase, so expect to see Green work around the dial throughout her career.

Let’s complete the Freshman Showcase trio. Green was identified as a top performer after her six-rotation prowess was put on display in La Vista. The Lincoln Lutheran standout elevates well on the pin, making her an ideal choice for out-of-system situations. Lincoln Lutheran keeps racking up its share of prep stars. Green was identified as a top performer at last weekend’s showcase and put forth the all-around impact we love to see from outside hitters. The intensity we see along the net doesn’t waver when Green rotates to the back row. She is capable of shouldering a DS role while remaining an attacking threat in the middle-back area. The Nebraska Freshman Showcase was a major step forward for the featured players from Premier Nebraska 14 Gold’s roster.
