Her serve-receive consistency stood out — calm hands, minimal platform movement, and precise ball control that allowed her offense to stay in rhythm. I have seen Van Groll play a couple of times this year and wow has her game grown. While she always had a quick first step, her awareness, reaction time, and reading skill have moved her to the next level. She impressed on day 1 with with solid serve receive off her midline, some impressive digs, and huge saves in key moments.

Van Groll was a scrappy libero for her Spiketown team. She has quick feet and fast reflexes which led to many impressive saves. Van Groll did a good job reading the opposing teams attackers and ran through the ball to pick up tips and rolls. Van Groll was also solid in out of system passing to the pins which lead to many kills for her team.
