Minor did not hesitate to insert herself into serve receive to bolster BSM’s first contact. She was making clutch swings under pressure and running a versatile C-ball along with back-one patterns. There were a few different times she stabilized a run of chaotic points and got her squad back on track.

Miner was a reliable outlet on back sets, especially from the right pin. Her left-handed cross-court kills repeatedly beat well-positioned defenders and steadied Benilde during Grand Rapids runs. The Red Knights’ commitment to add a variety of back-sets to Miner really paid off, especially against a Grand Rapids block that was keyed in on the left pin.

Her ability to score in high-pressure moments, especially against a strong block, stood out immediately. Avery’s fast arm, clean footwork, and consistent tempo make her a go-to option on the pin. She terminates well out of both serve receive and transition, showing next-level court awareness and decision-making. With her physicality and sharp volleyball IQ, Avery is already showing the tools that translate to the collegiate game.

She brings excellent court vision and reads the block well, consistently adjusting her tempo and shot selection mid-rally. What sets her apart is her ability to terminate from multiple zones—whether it’s a sharp angle swing from the right pin, a high hand tool from the left, or a quick tempo ball out of the middle. She hits with pace and confidence, using off-speed shots, line rolls, and deep corner placements to keep defenses guessing. Quick-footed and aggressive, Avery is already showing traits of a high-level scoring threat. Definitely one to watch this season.

I am a huge Avery Minor Avery Minor 5'10" | RS Benilde-St. Margaret's | 2028 State MN fan and this powerful attacker did not disappoint at the January thaw. She is quick, has excellent court vision, and knows how to terminate using an arsenal of shots that she has at her disposal. Teams need to keep tabs on her as this hard hitting, bold lefty is one that will take wicked swings from either pin and also out of the middle making her hard to stop.

I love lefty attackers and I am sure Minor is going to be one of my favorites through out her high school and club career. She is a very explosive and powerful attacker that can hit multiple shots. Minor had an outstanding freshman season at Benilde St. Margaret where she unleashed 3.3 kills/set, 1.9 digs/set, and 72 blocks. Minor is headed to Minnesota Select where she is going to not only grow her skills but gain a ton of exposure.
