With size to burn and an ability to make setters look better because of her ability to terminate, Brooklyn will be a nice size addition to any program looking for a three-rotation pin attacker. She’s under-the-radar for a simple reason—-she’s from Indiana and plays club in Illinois. Anyone crossing state lines to get club training might not get as much “pub” as they should, but Miss Gluth should be the exception to that unwritten rule. Boone Grove is not exactly a “blue blood” volleyball program, so her emergence as a solid recruit in this class is a nice surprise to have.

This lefty banger on the right side has every shot in the book, and score on them all. Lengthy and lithe, she certainly has extra strength in her upper body that makes her sneaky good. With exceptional court vision, she has the ability to take what the defense gives her, all while adapting to a faster-than-average offense. In a few cases, she’s hitting on her way down from her jump. Luckily, she’s lengthy enough that her attack can still score points to all angles and at all paces.

Being on the Right Side is an art form at times for a lot of athletes, and with Brooklyn, she makes it art but also makes it a weapon. Her swing is like a hammer, subtle with no wild wind-up, and then she explodes. Footwork almost flawless, control consistent, a few errors on her part. Swinging hard and jumping high actually earns her points; she spots the ball well. Defense isn’t an ability for her, making her a well-rounded Right Side for the next level.

A big and hard-hitting lefty, Brooklyn has risen our rankings quickly because of that size and strength she brings to the table. Playing much bigger than her height because of that high attack touch of hers, Miss Gluth can terminate any tempo of set in any angle and against any size block that’s put in front of her. This club season should be HUGE for her development and exposure, and I’m looking forward to seeing a bit more explosiveness out of her footwork this coming spring. Once that comes around, WATCH OUT. You might need a helmet when defending Brooklyn.

Long and lean and left-handed, Brooklyn is a force when the set is in tempo. Her ability to get up and go get a tight set and terminate will be her calling card in her future. A right side through and through, her back row development is slowly maturing, even since we saw her last in August. I like her high attack point and her ability to terminate regularly.
