Patton started to learn about leadership before hitting high school being the oldest of four. She landed a spot on the Kentucky Volleyball Coaches Association First Team All-State in the fall because of her versatility. She is tough when setters put balls at the top of her peak. Patton has a one-armed approach touch of 126 inches and it helps her power balls over double blocks. She also has an explosive swing making it tough on defensive specialists if blockers don’t get hands on balls. She uses a good platform to dig up balls and great hands to send second balls to hitters if the team is out of system.

The 6’2 Patton had a breakout high school season for Conner in 2025 as she scored 511 total kills for a 4.9 k/s average. She brings her arm and full range of tools into Ohio to play for the top 16U team at Tri-State Elite . Patton has good approach work with big double-arm action to drive herself off the court and into her torque movement. With her shoulders open to the ball in the air, she can contact high and rotate through the ball for some good pace. Look for her to be a key option at the net for this TSE squad.

She has great awareness and the ability to adjust on the floor. Showing her knowledge of the game and understanding of an all-around player, and that’s just the mental aspect that stood out. She displayed great footwork with her approaches, regardless of sets, and made heady spots with good power and control. Swinging side to side, reading the floor for blocks like a mature upperclassman.

Charlotte is a great leader on the team. She sets a high standard for herself and that sets a tone for the other players to follow. Conner volleyball has struggled in the past and she is a product of the program’s success, and she wants to continue that success. Her hunger and passion for fighting to win on the court has transferred to her teammates.

Patton played as polished and dominant as she has all season and will play in the 9th Region quarterfinals for the first time since she entered high school. Patton continues to produces from all six positions. Patton takes tough swings from the front and back row, painting the back line for big kills. Patton has a nice wrist snap, sending balls screaming to the ground. Patton hits balls off blockers for big points. Patton also serves well and makes crisp first touches. The Cougars lost to Cooper in the district semifinals last year and Patton said the biggest lesson learned from that game was they can lose on any given day so they need to treat opponents like they’re just as good so Conner keeps fighting to earn the win. Patton added it’s a matter of being ready to make plays to help the team win.

Charlotte turns heads, a six rotation player that is a game changer on the court! Patton anchors the front row beautifully with exceptional skills, but she can also hold down the back row for her team making her a valuable asset. With evident talent from a beautiful smooth swing and the ability to get on top of the ball easily we saw Charlotte rack up numerous kills from either pin readily with excellent placement finding the seams! She performs a great block with excellent timing and technique to contribute greatly to the front line and makes the opposition adjust their play. She can dig in the back row showing excellent technique and honed passing skills. Patton communicates well on the floor with good court IQ and supports her teammates well. We loved her play! She has all the tools!

Patton is not only tall and athletic, but also able to fulfill any roles the Cougars need. She grew tremendously during the spring playing for the ultra-talented Tri-State Elite 15 Blue team. She is a productive six-rotation player. Patton mixes up her line and cross hits in addition to some soft ones so teams do not key on one specific one as she learned earlier in the season. Patton even executes from the back row. Patton has not had to set much this year, but her experience as a setter comes in handy when the Cougars need an effective out of system set. Patton hustles on defense making precise passes. Patton forms double blocks and puts up solid serves.

Patton learned some lessons from the first meeting against Highlands after the Bluebirds took her line hits away. Patton has been mixing things up better pounding balls to different parts of the court including crosses. Patton even had several hits from the back row on pipe plays with pristine accuracy. Patton also hustles hard on defense. Patton said the Cougars rely on everyone and her teammates trust her to put balls away no matter what so they continue to set her.

Patton added to her diverse skill set over the club season and has carried it into the high school season. Patton makes sound passes and takes tough swings at the net using her height to her advantage. Patton is also a sound server. Patton is working on using her off (left) hand to record big kill and surprise defenses. That will work with time. Patton’s accuracy and serve reception may not have been the greatest in this game, but Patton learns and grows from mistakes well.
